TNA iMPACT Video Game Review
by Fletch on 23 September 2008
3 Years ago, we learnt that Total Nonstop Action Wrestling were starting to produce their own video game, much like WWE have been doing since time can remember. With over 3 years of development going into this inaugural title, and the assistance of avid gaming fans and TNA Superstars such as Samoa Joe and The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles; this game cannot possibly even contemplate failure. Can it?

Nature Boy Ric Flair: The Definitive Collection DVD Review
by Draven Cage on 15 September 2008
This 3-Disc set is a prime example of how to do a profile DVD the right way; one disc devoted to the subject’s life and career and the other disc(s) filled with matches and promos (the upcoming Mr. Perfect 2-Disc set follows this layout). Compare this to some of the other releases (Tombstone, I’m looking at you) and you’ll see what I’m getting at. A profile DVD should let you get behind the character and see how the wrestler got where they are and tell an interesting story, which is why having the matches on separate discs is a Godsend...

UFC Ultimate Knockouts 5 DVD Review
by Ian Allen on 23 August 2008
Not even three or four deep into the long list of featured knock outs, I endeavoured to count the number of times UFC commentator, Joe Rogan would flex his expertise and proclaim 'On the button'. Unfortunately a few KO's later, I had given up. It was simply too much for one man to take, sometimes several repetitions per highlight. And considering my childhood affinity with counting, I felt I had let myself down. Whether it was counting how long I could hold my breath or generally just counting for counting sake, I loved it and never before had I been beaten. Dam you Rogan...

The Rock: The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment DVD Review
by TheBigBoot on 15 August 2008
The other day I was walking the dog when he discovered a skateboard broken in two pieces lying on the grass, which he promptly tried to get on and when that didn’t work sat down and started to chew the bottom half. More surprising than a seven month old Bouvier des Flandres puppy trying to skateboard, was when I noticed the old ‘WWF Attitude’ scratch logo on the half-skateboard Shaggy had in his mouth. Turning over the other half, I was greeted by the image of a familiar face with one eyebrow raised above his sunglasses in dramatic fashion… Yes, The Rock. What are the chances that the same day I get this DVD to review the dog finds an item with his picture on?

WWE Backlash 2008 DVD Review
by Draven Cage on 9 August 2008
Almost every show has been above-average at worst, with the majority of the PPV events covering the period April ’07 (Backlash 2007) to March ’08 (Wrestlemania XXIV) being very well received. With that in mind, the big question going into this event was can WWE keep up the good form going into the 2008-2009 wrestling year? With Summerslam just around the corner (as of the time of writing), I can say that this year has, so far, continued to impress for the most part...

| CBlog XXVIII- No Mercy, RAW and Cyber Sunday By Cassidy Haslett on 8 October 2008 |
| I know it’s been a little while since I’ve done a blog, but I’m back to give my thoughts on No Mercy, RAW, and the upcoming Cyber Sunday pay-per-view on October 26 (which, coincidentally, is CM Punk’s birthday and he is also the featured star on the poster).
Let’s start with this past Sunday’s No Mercy [...] |
| CBlog XXVII- RAW, SmackDown and No Mercy By Cassidy Haslett on 18 September 2008 |
| I did not post a blog last week because I did not feel that RAW was really worth posting a blog about. It was okay, but nothing much to discuss. This week, there is a bit more to discuss and I also wanted to provide my thoughts on SmackDown and the current line-up for No [...] |
| CBlog XXVI- Thoughts on WWE Unforgiven 2008 By Cassidy Haslett on 9 September 2008 |
| The 10′th WWE Unforgiven in Cleveland was just awesome and worth the $39.95 I paid. Sure, every match was not great, but I look at the overall when I judge a pay-per-view. Here are my thoughts on Unforgiven:

| CBlog XXV- WWE RAW, Rey and Unforgiven By Cassidy Haslett on 2 September 2008 |
| RAW was average to me this week. Granted, it may have been better had there not been spoilers on every single wrestling site or in every wrestling email I got after RAW was taped this past Sunday. It was nice to see Randy Orton make an appearance on RAW, even though it would have been [...] |
| CBlog XXIV- WWE RAW, Unforgiven & Cena?s Injury By Cassidy Haslett on 26 August 2008 |
| Let me start off with the unfortunate news - John Cena has a severely herniated disc in his neck and will require surgery, leaving him out of action, indefinitely. The probability of him making another early return seems very unlikely. With Cena gone from television for who knows how long, I for one will certainly [...] |
