Hi Guys, Saracen here with the latest compilation of UK news. In a strange twist of fate, Goldy seems to have had the hectic week, where as I get a quiet week on the UK wrestling calendar. So instead we get to look forward to what’s coming up this August.

The most obvious buzz news is the arrival of D’Lo Brown arriving to these shores, I saw him last week on FWA, in a three falls match, and I really enjoyed him playing the bad guy. But the UK is a big place and companies are eager to have him on their shows.

Both WZW and FCW have announced his appearance on their shows, WZW also offering a training session with the Ex WWE star. FCW will announce further venue details. FCW are however confirmed to return to Halesowen on October 2nd, which, I have been told is one of their most successful venues.

Speaking of American stars, BCW are proud to announce that in association with the FWA, on the 2nd and 3rd of September, British Championship Wrestling will have American wrestling star 'Spanky' on their shows. Hopefully he will be a great draw for those guys.

IWW has announced, quite literally, that they are having a show at Peaders, Rathdowney, Co. Laois on Sunday August 8th. It sets to star Lee Butler, Joey Cabray, Alex, Red vinny, Galldubh and many more. Tickets are 5 Euro at the door.

The FWA announced last week that there would be a Round Robin tournament in Southbury Leisure Centre in Enfield on Saturday 7th August 2004. The participants announced so far are James Tighe, Jack Xavier and Spud and Aviv Maayan. The Round Robin tournament hasn't been seen since Season Beatings 2004, which I believe was shown on TWC. Good luck Spud!

Another match for the card, One half of the Tag Team Champions Simmonz will go one on one in single's action against ‘The Specialist' Mark Sloan. Sloan is currently on a winning streak having defeated Aviv at Carpe Diem thanks to Mark Belton and beating Jack Hazard, on the other hand Simmonz has just won the tag titles with the Duke, both men will want to prove themselves.

I’ve just noticed that MPW have moved training facilities to allow capacity for their growing academy ranks, if this has been reported before, I apologise, but it is an important step for any growing company and is a great sign that things are going well, here is their press release:

“With two IBF qualified trainers Mike Connell and Stephen Edwards, MPWA now has over 60 students every Sunday and some great British stars have been born form the school over the last 3 years,

From December we moved to are new home the AT7 centre from the Phoenix Dojo in Tile Hill, Coventry which had been the home of MPW from day one.

As time has gone by and the school has grown it was time to move and with the memories of the dojo deep in our hearts we did”

MPW will also be showing off their talents for free on Saturday 21st August 2004 for the Holbrooks festival, Holbrooks, Coventry.

I don’t particularly like talking about my matches publicly as it seems a touch arrogant but Goldy decided I would be best to talk about KSW’s show Deadly Alliance 2. As far as I can say, I felt it was very successful in entertaining the crowd and a lot of wrestlers put on some of their best performances, of particular note was Marcus Kool. I mentioned before that he was a wrestler to look out for, but he pushed himself past good and wowed the crowd with spectacular moves, he and Sal Americana put on a brilliant opening match, which set the pace of the show. Another popular performer was King Khan, who with that strut of his and his magnificent “King-a-roonie” entertained the fans with style.

I however lost my tag match against Wyld Kaos, but I will get my revenge (apart from the immediate revenge I got, but you had to have been there to understand what I am talking about) at Pandemonium, held on the 28th August at Edwards Street Social Club, Edwards Street, Cannock. Tickets are £5.

Goldy will be back, more than likely stuck with the lion’s share of the UK Scene workload, I will be back with my next tenet. Make sure you get to read Scott Future’s excellent Future Shock, I felt he has made some great points in his article.

Till next time, stay safe.

Saracen
