Press Release

                         COMPETITION!

RBW is proud to offer SEVERAL pairs of tickets to our next live event in Finchley, London on Saturday 11th December.

The all important question is:

Who will be making his RBW debut at this event?

Please send your answers to the question to competition@revolutionbritishwrestling.co.uk.

The closing date for this competition is Thursday 9th December 2004.

Good Luck!

Revolution British Wrestling Live Event

Date - Saturday 11th December 2004

Venue - Finchley Sea Cadets, 184a Long Lane, Finchley, London, N3.

Times - Doors Open at 7.30pm. Event Begins at 8.00pm. Show Ends at 10.00pm.

With the end of the year 2004 drawing to a close, the final live 2004 wrestling spectacular presented by Revolution British Wrestling takes place in a return event in Finchley, North London.

Topping the bill is the debuting international star "Anarchist" Doug Williams who will join the likes of British Middleweight Champion, "Misfit" Jorge Castano, British Welterweight Champion, "The Gift" Ross Jordan and many other top British competitors, including Finchley's very own hometown star, one of the British Tag Team Champions, Stixx.

The event also includes the continuation of the British Heavyweight Championship Tournament, with the last event in Finchley, London in September seeing a near-capacity audience witness both Johnny Kidd and Tex Benedict advance in the start of the tournament.

The Card

British Heavyweight Championship Tournament Qualifier 7

"Anarchist" Doug Williams (Kent)
vs
"Misfit" Jorge Castano (Cali, Colombia)

A few months ago when "Anarchist" Doug Williams was announced to be coming to RBW and straight into this tournament, the contest that he was in, instantly became one of the most anticipated and most talked about matches in the tournament.

Williams, from Kent, has been making waves not just in the United Kingdom in recent years, but also on the international scene, with multiple tours of the United States of America, Japan, Germany and other countries under his belt. Known as one of the best technical wrestlers in the UK, it is hoped by fans that Williams may meet former British Middleweight Champion and RBW regular, Johnny Kidd, in 2005, in what would be a true battle of the technical greats in British wrestling.

Before the chances of this contest become reality, Doug Williams has a tough battle ahead, with the reigning British Middleweight Champion, Colombia's "Misfit" Jorge Castano, who's recent singles winning streak has made him one of the most competitive and confident wrestlers in RBW.

Jorge Castano's Championship will not be on the line in this contest, yet the opportunity to advance in the British Heavyweight Championship Tournament will be, and both wrestlers are likely to compete in what could well be one of the top matches of 2004 in Revolution British Wrestling.

British Heavyweight Championship Tournament Qualifier 8

Stixx (Finchley, London)
vs
Ashe (Chingford, London)

In RBW's last visit to Finchley, London in September, it was undeniable that the usually unpopular Stixx, was the most popular wrestler in the building, with the fans cheering him to victory against the usually popular, yet this time unpopular, Ashe.

The two wrestled in the main event, with Stixx narrowly making the winning pinfall. Ashe graciously accepted the loss, and shook the hand of Stixx in a moment of sporting respect. However unfinished business between the Southern Alliance group (of which Stixx is a member) and the New Breed tag team (of which Ashe is one half, with partner Curve) still exists, and both wrestlers have campaigned for a rematch at some stage.

With various changes from the original tournament line-up, RBW officials have signed a rematch for this contest to take place at the very same venue as the last one, however this time the winner will not only win the contest, but will also advance in the British Heavyweight Championship Tournament!

Tag Team Contest

"The Gift" Ross Jordan (Hertford, Hertfordshire) & J.C Thunder (Soho, London)
vs
Project Future - Bobby Hostile (Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire) & Riccardo Young (Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire)

The year 2004 is likely to be remembered in RBW history as being the year of the Southern Alliance, who have made an incredible impact this year, winning numerous Championships and causing problems for almost all of the other RBW wrestlers at some stage.

Leading the group through this has been the reigning British Welterweight Champion, "The Gift" Ross Jordan, who's immense talent combined with a huge amount of confidence, has made him a key player in the Southern Alliance's success.

The continual rise of the RBW tag team division is set to continue, when the Southern Alliance combination of the British Welterweight Champion, "The Gift" Ross Jordan and one of the British Tag Team Champions, J.C Thunder team up to take on the popular RBW home-grown Project Future tag team from Hertfordshire, comprising of Bobby Hostile and Riccardo Young.

The Project Future tag team of Bobby Hostile and Riccardo Young have only had a handful of contests each, and only one tag team contest between them. However unlike most young tag teams, this team has shown great ability and skill, with their one tag team contest seeing them defeat the team of "Misfit" Jorge Castano and Tex Benedict in a shocking upset.

The tag team contest between these two teams in Finchley, London could well see another upset, but with experience and confidence on the side of the Southern Alliance, we can only hope that Project Future will rise to the challenge and send a shock through the Southern Alliance group.

Singles Contest

Kid Romeo (Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire)
vs
Mark Shaman (City of London)

In this contest, two of RBW's popular welterweight wrestlers will meet, those being Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire's Kid Romeo and the City of London's Mark Shaman.

Kid Romeo recently returned to action, and is fresh off two successful victories in the space of a month. Romeo has stated that he would like the opportunity to wrestle the British Welterweight Champion, "The Gift" Ross Jordan, for the Championship as soon as possible.

Romeo's opponent Mark Shaman had this very opportunity recently in Luton, Bedfordshire where he wrestled Ross Jordan, not only for the British Welterweight Championship but also the chance to advance in the British Heavyweight Championship tournament. Unfortunately, in what can only be described as unfair circumstances, Shaman emerged the loser, and is already frustrated as this was his second loss in RBW to Ross Jordan, after having his hair cut off in a Championship vs Hair contest back in February, in Kid Romeo's own hometown of Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

This clash between Mark Shaman and Kid Romeo will hopefully prove who is the better welterweight wrestler, and who will meet Ross Jordan soon. With other top welterweight competitors such as the former Champion, Sammy Ray, Flaming Red, Spud, Bobby Hostile, Tex Benedict, Riccardo Young and others also gunning for a shot at the Championship, the contender battles are sure to spread into 2005.
