LEGEND RETURNING TO APPEAR IN FINAL NOVEMBER PRESENTATIONS
Celebrity Wrestling’s Joe Legend returns to headline All Star’s last two public presentations of 2005 at Cannock on Thursday this week (November 24th) and Folkestone the following night, Friday November 25th. Both events will wind-up with a dozen or more wrestlers in over the top rope rumble action and then there’s a break before All Star launch into a 15 date festive season run at Butlins holiday centres, starting at Minehead on Friday  December 16th.

The All Star squad have only Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve off as the programme continues at Skegness, Minehead and Bognor Regis with mainly evening bills right through to Monday January 2nd 2006. Once again there will be a mix of top home and overseas stars on view and a full dates list can be found in our Events Calendar elsewhere on this site.

Canada-born, Germany-based Pan Pacific World title holder Legend, currently one of the most in-demand stars on the international circuit, will be looking to get among the honours at the Prince of Wales Theatre in Cannock on Thursday when the action begins at 7.30pm and rivals include British number one Highlander Drew McDonald, James Mason, Domino and Steve Sonic. For bookings call the Prince of Wales Theatre box office on 01543-578762.

Robbie Brookside and ‘Liverpool Lads’ tag partner Frankie Sloan will be joining the start list for Friday’s date at the Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone, where there’s another 7.30 bell time and seats can be booked by calling the venue on 01303-228600.  For latest line-up news ring Wrestlecall on 09068-121884 (calls cost 60p min).

ALL STAR TAKE THE HONOURS IN CHALLENGE MATCH WITH FWA
Much to the delight of the vast majority of a big crowd at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon, All Star snatched the honours in the November team event showdown against the FWA, but it seems certain that hostilities will resume in the New Year. The challenge had been flung down by the FWA’s Alex Shane and with honours even going into a deciding three-a-side elimination tag, it was down to the ‘Showstealer’ against All Star team captain Joe Legend.

But after using a championship belt thrown into the ring by anarchist Doug Williams as a weapon en route to what appeared to be a decisive fall, neutral referee, The Canadian Widowmaker, reversed his decision and awarded victory to Legend, Steve Sonic and Kid Cool. Shane lined-up with Charlie Rage and Doug Williams while in earlier matches Jonny Storm gave the FWA a winning start beating Mikey Whiplash before Domino levelled matters with a victory over Hade Vansen.

HIGHLANDER AND BROOKSIDE RESUME BATTLE IN CROYDON LADDER MATCH
Croydon is to be the setting for a third British heavyweight title clash between ‘Highlander’ Drew McDonald and Robbie Brookside. It is set for Tuesday January 16th and will be an anything goes Ladder Match with the championship belt suspended a tantalising dozen feet above the Fairfield Halls ring.

Last week’s re-match was every bit as competitive and gruelling as the June clash that ended with McDonald ending Brookside’s reign as champion. And once again there was virtually nothing between the two men and with honours even at a fall apiece Drew just managed to stagger to his feet as the count reached ten as Robbie slumped down again.

Long haired Liverpool lad Brookside is so convinced he has what it takes to regain the title he held for more than two years following a home city defeat of Doug Williams that he says he will have his head shaved in the Croydon ring should he fail to regain the title in January.

Although the Croydon clash is top of the list for McDonald, there is no shortage of other potential challengers lining-up behind Brookside. Guildford-based ex-champion Williams, South London-born star James Mason, muscle machine Domino and rising Reading star Steve Sonic are all in the running.

Tickets for the January 16th Croydon event, including family offers for two adults and two children under 16, are already on sale at the Fairfield Halls box office and can be booked by telephone to 0208-688-9291.

BRITAIN REMAINS WRESTLING’S INTERNATIONAL HOT SPOT
More top stars from wrestling’s international circuit are keen to be heading our way in the New Year as Britain remains the world’s number one country for ring action.

Already sabre toothed vampire Gangrel has signed to return for All Star in January, this time accompanied by his wife the amazing Luna, and they will find plenty of potential mixed tag opposition waiting with Frankie Sloan and Lisa Fury, plus Alex Shane and Nikita quickly expressing their interest.

Gangrel showed in the recent six week tour, fresh from his WWE return to confront The Undertaker, that he has lost none of his talent for causing controversy and in January he and Luna could be joined by a Japanese threat from WWE in the shape of featured campaigner Kenzo who will be accompanied by his wife Suki.

The Canadian Widowmaker is also heading back after Christmas, along with the equally competitive Shadow, while further major North American threats will be seen in the imposing shape of both ‘Cowboy’ Mike Hughes, recently campaigning in Puerto Rico and Mexico, and the towering Brodie Steele.

‘LITTLE LEGS’ HANDS NEW OUT OF RING ROLE TO THE FLATLINER
There’s a new out of the ring role for one of our most colourful and popular heavyweight campaigners, the fearless Flatliner. Tag partner, Mark Sealey, alias midget wrestling star ‘Little Legs,’ has just celebrated the birth of a baby daughter and has asked the Flatliner to become the baby’s Godfather.

‘Little Legs’ has been out of the ring for more than six months following operations on his feet but is still on course to return to action early in 2006. Although forced to concentrate on solo action lately, life has been hectic for The Flatliner who worked on ‘Sucker Punch,’ the new film about unlicensed boxing and was also in Germany for the Hannover Wrestlefest event.

POTTERIES NEEDLE INTENSIFIES AS DEAN TARGETS DYNAMITE
After two victories over bitter foe Robbie ‘The Body’ Dynamite, the latest in a ‘no holds barred’ Victoria Hall, Hanley, showdown last weekend, Dean Allmark is now demanding a crack at the Potteries powerhouse’s heavy middleweight title and belt as the rivalry between them reaches fever pitch.

The pair joined the pro-ranks at the same time after Robbie encouraged ‘Xtreem’ Dean to take the wrestling plunge, but the animosity has grown since weight training fanatic Robbie returned to the ring last winter after a lengthy absence through injury when becoming a member of Team UK competing in the United States in the TNA televised series.

While sidelined, Robbie set-up his own gym in Stoke on Trent and with an intensified training programme is now fitter and more determined than ever, a fact that can hardly be lost on the now Cheshire-based Dean who also devotes a lot of time and energy to partnering Kid Cool in the popular UK Dream Team tag formation.

KLONDYKE KATE PULLING OUT ALL THE STOPS FOR WORTHY CAUSE
Everyone at All Star sends best wishes to Klondyke Kate who is pulling out all the stops to put on a special charity wrestling event at a Potteries venue on Saturday December 3rd. The evening programme at the Wallace Leisure Centre at Abbey Hilton, Stoke on Trent, is to raise money for the Erbs Palsy Society, a cause very close to Kate’s heart as her youngest son is a sufferer.

There will be solo and mixed tag action before the night winds-up with a 20 wrestler rumble and among those appearing - and giving their services free of charge - will be James Mason, ‘Soldier Boy’ Steve Prince, Adam Angel, Justin Starr, Phil Powers, Erin Angel and, making a competitive debut, High Impact Wrestling trainee Mattt Hunter. The legendary Kendo Nagasaki will be making a personal appearance to sign copies of ‘The Grapple Manual,’ and to book seats or support the occasion in any other way the number to ring is  07733-190394
