--Due to a poor advance (less than 10,000 tickets sold so far), New Japan has gotten desperate once again for the 1/4 Dome show. They made a deal with K-1 to get Akebono to make his New Japan debut, teaming with Yutaka Yoshie as a pair of blimps against Black Strong Machine & Hiro Saito
--WWE has withdrawn its attempt to keep Brock Lesnar from appearing on that show, pulling out of Tuesday's scheduled hearing to determine whether the WWE would be able to get a temporary restraining order to prevent Lesnar from wrestling. It appeared to be an attempt with no chance of success going in.
