Nashville, TN – On Wednesday April 7th, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling pay-per-view will feature Team UK against the two time defending America’s X Cup Champions, Team Mexico.
After watching Team Mexico defeat Team USA and Team Canada, Team UK contacted TNA officials about scheduling the match.
Led by Coach Dave Taylor, Team UK will consist of James Mason (captain), Robbie Dynamite, Frankie Sloan and Xtreme Dean. They will face Hector Garza (captain), Abismo Negro, Mr. Aguila and Heavy Metal.
Nicknamed “The Squire”, Taylor is a third generation wrestler and former UK and European Champion. He is also a former German Tag Team Champion with Chris Benoit. A world renowned trainer, some of his students have included; Batista, WWE Divas, and TNA’s C.M. Punk. Taylor gained popularity along with William Regal in WCW as one of the Blue Bloods.
“We have beaten every team from North America,” Team Mexico’s captain Hector Garza explained through a translator. “Team Mexico will take on the best from any country and prove once again that Mexico produces the top X Division wrestlers in the world. We are America’s team!”
