Revolution British Wrestling & World4Life
Tuesday 25th May 2004
Wolverhampton Civic Hall, North Street, Wolverhampton, WV1 1RQ.

Promoters of entertainment and world events, World4Life, along with Revolution British Wrestling are bringing British professional wrestling back with a bang to Wolverhampton in May 2004!

This event is set to take place at the huge 2,000 seat Wolverhampton Civic Hall, which played host to wrestling in it's hey-day, but has not recently been used for professional wrestling. In actual fact, it was this very venue that legendary masked competitor Kendo Nagasaki was sensationally unmasked for the first time!

The event stars two Championship contests, which sees the British Commonwealth and British Welterweight Championships both on the line. On top of that, three other contests will take place, featuring some of the top stars of British wrestling.

MAIN EVENT - Tag Team Action - "Wildcat" Robbie Brookside and "Golden Boy" Cameron Knite vs Stixx and "Rock 'n' Roll Express" Blondie Barratt

The main event for this show is quite unarguably, one of the biggest tag team contests to take place in recent RBW wrestling history.

Wolverhampton's very own hometown wrestler and rapidly rising star of British wrestling, "Golden Boy" Cameron Knite will be involved in one of his most significant bouts to date, when he forms a one-night tag team partnership with a wrestler whom many consider to be Britain's best grappler, Liverpool's "Wildcat" Robbie Brookside.

They will do battle against the Southern Alliance tag team of London powerhouse Stixx, who is partnered by one of Britain's most recognisable stars of the past twenty-five years, the British Mid-Heavyweight Champion, "Rock 'n' Roll Express" Blondie Barratt.

The bout promises to be explosive, and we are sure that tension will be high and the desire to win will be on display.

British Welterweight Championship - Sammy Ray (c) vs "Sensation of the Nation" Rob Hunter

Two of Britain's top welterweight stars do battle in a British Welterweight Championship contest.

Sammy Ray has been making a great impression in recent months, winning all but one bout so far this year. Ray has also in recent months featured on TV, appearing on hit Channel 4 daily programme, "The Salon", as well as being involved in the filming of the new series of Channel 5's "Monkey Magic", scheduled to be shown later this year.

Ray will be meeting one of the most promising stars of wrestling, "Sensation of the Nation" Rob Hunter. Hunter is amidst a return to professional wrestling, following several months of temporary retirement. Rob Hunter was in the focus of many fans as being the next breakout star in British wrestling before his spell away from the wrestling ring.

Welterweight action within Revolution British Wrestling is already fierce, and with Hunter's entry into the division, expect it to get even more competitive in the weeks to come.

Catchweight Contest - "Sadistic" Jack Storm vs Spud

In what is scheduled to be a rematch from an Enfield, London/Middlesex two weeks beforehand, rivals Spud and Jack Storm, both from Birmingham, will do battle once again.

Former British Welterweight Champion, Spud, has been sidelined with an injury he sustained in December, which unfortunately prevented him from getting a rematch with "The Gift" Ross Jordan, following a Sheffield clash between the two, which saw Jordan unfairly defeat Spud. Spud's injury is now healed, and he has already voiced his eagerness for a contest against Ross Jordan soon.

"Sadistic" Jack Storm is rapidly making himself a great name in professional wrestling. The much-disliked Birmingham star will be making his fourth RBW appearance in this contest, which is his first since a Hemel Hempstead RBW event back in February. Storm, who has earned the nickname of "Sadistic" due to the nature of his wrestling style, looks likely to be one of Britain's top stars in the next few years.

British Commonwealth Championship - Alan Kilby (c) vs Keith Myatt

The forty-year career of Alan Kilby, the British Commonwealth Champion, continues once again. Kilby is the only wrestler in the United Kingdom to have a career spanning such an amount of time, and what makes it even more incredible is the fact that Kilby was born deaf. This, coupled with his passion and desire in professional wrestling, has made Alan Kilby a hero to all of those who feel disadvantaged in any way, to raise up to it and beat their problems. Kilby to date, is undefeated in Revolution British Wrestling, since making his debut back in November 2002.

His opponent in this contest is Stoke-on-Trent's Keith Myatt. The self-professed "twenty year mat veteran" demanded a rematch from their contest in early April at an RBW event in Nottingham, which saw Kilby defeat him in a singles contest. Keith Myatt's twenty year career is incredible in itself, but it shockingly, is only half of the time that Alan Kilby has wrestled!

Following from their previous encounter, a bruising and aggressive bout is predicted here, and we will see if Alan Kilby can keep his unbeaten record intact, or can Keith Myatt gain revenge this time round?

Battle Gauntlet

Traditionally, the evening is set to be rounded off with an over-the-top rope Battle Gauntlet contest. This is set to star all of the wrestlers seen earlier on the event, as a few surprises, as well as some graduate RBW trainees from both London and Nottingham involved.

Merchandise

A full range of RBW merchandise will be available at this live event as well. Official video and DVD releases of previous RBW events from this year, as well as keyrings, posters etc.
