CBlog XV- SummerSlam, Steroids, & Suspensions
by Cassidy Haslett on 31 August 2007
Wow, all that’s been going on this week makes me regret not posting a blog last weekend. In any case, on to the business at hand. First off, SummerSlam- Due to the frustration of attempting to watch it for free online and getting very poor quality for the third PPV in a row (give or take), I ended up spending the $40 on SummerSlam. It was an okay pay-per-view, but I was disappointed in the outcomes of some of the matches. Read the rest of this entry »

CBlog XIV- TNA & SummerSlam
by Cassidy Haslett on 17 August 2007
Well, it seems like Congress has finally decided to pick on someone else besides the WWE. This is kind of amusing to me because U.S. Congress is requesting the drug testing records from TNA, but TNA has never had any sort of drug testing program. I know I will be keeping an eye on the situation.

CBlog XIII- My TNA Rant
by Cassidy Haslett on 13 August 2007
This is pretty much directly related to the recent blog by MITCH3LL regarding TNA’s downfall, how they size up to WWE, etc. Now anyone who has ever read one of my blogs or any of my posts on TWO, you will know that I am nowhere near a fan of TNA. Frankly, I just straight up hate TNA. I figured I could dedicate a blog to my pure hatred for TNA and show my support for the WWE. Nothing news worthy is really happening at the moment, anyways. CBlog XII- Hardy, McMahon, & SummerSlam
by Cassidy Haslett on 8 August 2007
I know it’s been awhile, but there hasn’t been a whole ton of things to discuss as of late. With that said, I’ll start on the topic of Mr. McMahon’s return to TV on tonight’s (Monday, August 6) RAW. There’s no question that the ‘Mr. McMahon Strikes Back’ angle is a ploy for ratings and WWE needs them (bar the Nielson mistake(s), but they still weren’t getting good numbers, I don’t think). I’ve read that tonight’s RAW is supposed to be a “reset” of sorts for the WWE (a new era or starting over or whatever). It should be interesting.

CBlog XI- Kronus, Khali, & The Bash
by Cassidy Haslett on 22 July 2007
Let’s start with John Kronus. Unfortunately, the wrestling world lost another great talent in John Kronus. Kronus was most notable for being one half of The Eliminators with Perry Saturn in ECW. Kronus is a former ECW Tag Team Champion. I honestly haven’t had much experience in seeing Kronus in action with ECW or any other organization, but I have seen a couple of his matches. Whether he was a household name or not, I believe that any wrestler that passes deserves, at the very least, to be acknowledged.

CBlog X- WWE Great American Bash & Larry King
by Cassidy Haslett on 11 July 2007
Sorry for not posting a blog in awhile. Quite frankly there hasn’t been a whole lot to discuss lately. I know the Astin investigation and the Benoit media craze is still going strong, but nothing that one would consider “breaking” has happened recently.

CBlog IX- Chris Benoit
by Cassidy Haslett on 26 June 2007
As I am writing this I am still stunned about the whole Benoit story. For those reading this who haven’t heard or don’t know the details currently available: Chris Benoit, Nancy Benoit, & Daniel Benoit were all found dead on June 25, 2007 of an apparent double murder-suicide.

CBlog VIII- WWE Vengeance 2007
by Cassidy Haslett on 26 June 2007
I promised a review of what I thought of Vengeance: Night of Champions and I will. Although Vengeance isn’t even on the minds of anyone right now, I still believe it is worth mentioning and it’ll also help me to try and get this tragedy out of my mind.

CBlog VII- Sherri, McMahon, & The Draft
by Cassidy Haslett on 18 June 2007
I’m beginning to like the look of the titles of these blogs, it kind of lays out a ‘format’ of sorts for me.

Anyways, I was surprised to hear the “Sensational” Sherri had died at the age of 49. I mean, legends and talent die every now and then, but it’s always more painful and a shocker when they’re too young or whatever. I haven’t read any details on her death as of this post, but one has to believe there is something more. I’m just glad WWE got her in the Hall of Fame, where she belongs.

CBlog VI - Deaths, Drafts, & Fatheads
by Cassidy Haslett on 13 June 2007
Let’s not waste any time. Monday’s RAW was probably one of the best RAW’s that I can remember. The draft picks were great, as were the majority of the matches, but the ending? That was a shocker, for sure. I obviously realize that McMahon’s Death is an angle (apparently, some bonehead news sites and radio stations think it’s real; like McMahon’s death would conveniently be on live TV, give me a break) and I think it’s within the realm of possibility that it will be revealed that Vince faked his own death.
