WWE Superstars February 17, 2011 Results

Posted on February 17th, 2011 by

The 97th edition of WWE Superstars came to you from the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA and from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, CA. After proclaiming themselves as the hottest tag team in the WWE and prematurely stating that they are WrestleMania bound, the confident new team of Primo & Zack Ryder would get their opportunity to prove themselves as the self-proclaimed Team DZP (“Down with Zack & Primo”) would face the WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov in a non-title match!

Match Results

  • Chris Masters def. Tyler Reks by submission to the Masterlock.
  • Jimmy & Jey Uso def. Yoshi Tatsu & David Hart Smith by Jimmy Uso rolling up David Hart Smith with the tights.
  • Non-Title: Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov def. Primo & Zack Ryder by Santino Marella pinning Primo following the Cobra Strike.

Detailed Results

The opening match of the night would see two of SmackDown’s powerhouses square off as “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters would go one-on-one with “The X Factor” Tyler Reks! In the end, it was Chris Masters picking up a big upset as Masters would lock the Masterlock in on the larger Tyler Reks, forcing Reks to pass out in the rigorous maneuver, giving Masters the submission victory!

One week after being dominated and defeated by The Great Khali, The Usos would be looking to redeem themselves as Jimmy & Jey Uso would face the team of Yoshi Tatsu & David Hart Smith! In the end, it looked like David Hart Smith was moments away from picking up the win for his team, but Jimmy Uso would take advantage of the referee being distracted and would roll the legal man in the match, his brother Jey, out of the ring and would catch Smith with a roll-up and a grabbing of the tights in route to picking up the win for himself and his brother!

Then it was time for the main event as WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov, with Tamina in their corner, would face the self-proclaimed “hottest tag team” in the WWE, Primo & Zack Ryder, in a non-title match! In the end, it was Santino Marella hitting the Cobra Strike on Primo en route to picking up the win for himself and Vladimir Kozlov!
