WWE: Tough Enough Trainer Making Full Time In-Ring Return?

WWE Tough Enough Trainer Bill DeMott has eluded, via his Twitter account, that it is very likely that the former WCW United States Champion will be making a full time, in-ring return to the WWE in the near future as DeMott posted on Twitter that he has a lot of “WWE projects” on his plate, adding that his followers can take that to mean whatever they want it to mean, but he has been training and will be “ready for it”.
After a brief stint in ECW as Crash The Terminator, Bill DeMott would be signed by WCW at the recommendation of Kevin Sullivan and would make his debut as Hugh Morrus, where the 300 lbs. athlete would initially become noticed for his finisher, dubbed “No Laughing Matter”, which was a moonsault done by the super heavyweight that impressed fans and the backstage brass alike. Morrus would then be pushed as a mid-carder and would join the Dungeon of Doom stable, who set their sights on destroying “Hulkamania”. However, the infamous heel turn of Hulk Hogan would lead to the angle being dropped and Morrus’ place in the company would drop significantly. Hugh Morrus would continue to work in many different aspects, including some time in WCW’s Hardcore division before taking some time off from WCW. After returning, Morrus would be put in with the stable, Misfits In Action, and would be placed as the leader of the group (which also featured Chavo Guerrero, Jr. & Booker T), undergoing a name change to General Hugh G. Rection. The group would eventually break up and, amidst the downward spiral of WCW as a company, Hugh would win the United States Title twice before the WWE bought out WCW in 2001.
DeMott competed until Hugh Morrus in the WWE until a serious motorcycle accident in 2002 jeopardized his career. Morrus would briefly return under his real name and would be a commentator on Velocity before being assigned a trainer in WWE’s former developmental territory, Deep South Wrestling, where he would remain until his release from the WWE in 2007. DeMott would be re-signed to the company earlier this year to take part as a trainer in the revamped WWE Tough Enough.
