Breaking WWE News: SmackDown Superstar Released From Contract!
Posted on June 26th, 2011 by Cassidy
WWE made the surprising announcement on WWE.com on Saturday that the company has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Chavo Guerrero.
Chavo Guerrero (Salvador Guerrero IV) is a third-generation wrestler, the son of Chavo Guerrero, Sr. (Chavo Classic) and the grandson of Gory Guerrero. Chavo is also the nephew of Hector Guerrero, Mondo Guerrero, Enrique Llanes, and the late, great Eddie Guerrero. Chavo began his wrestling career in May 1994, wrestling in Mexico and Japan until being signed by WCW in 1996.
During his time in WCW, Chavo twice held the Cruiserweight Championship and also held the WCW World Tag Team Titles with Corporal Cajun. The WWE buyout of WCW in 2001 landed Chavo in WWE where, over his ten year career in the organization, Chavo captured the ECW World Championship once, the Cruiserweight Championship four times, and held the WWE Tag Team Titles with his uncle, Eddie Guerrero. Chavo’s final WWE appearance was at Over The Limit, where he lost to Sin Cara.
