WWE: Update on Edge’s Contractual Status

Posted on April 21st, 2012 by

WrestleScoop.com is reporting that Edge’s contract with the WWE is set to expire on April 30, not May 1 as previously reported. WWE officials are trying to re-sign Edge to a new deal and are reportedly unhappy about the news of the contract expiration getting out. A source within the WWE claims that there have been financial issues with the contract and that they had just assumed that Edge would sign any new contract that they put in front of him.

WWE is apparently looking to sign Edge to more than just a Legends contract that would see Edge having to go through WWE headquarters to work on any outside deals, which is similar to the deals that Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels are signed under.

Do you think Edge will re-sign with the WWE? Post your comments in the box below.
