WWE: DirecTV Not Interested in WWE Network?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting a major issue for the troubled WWE Network as DirecTV reportedly has absolutely no interest in the Network, which would cost them about 30% in revenue. In addition, very few cable carriers are willing to commit to paying a per subscriber rate for the WWE Network, which the WWE counted on for its profitability. Along with DISH Network, DirecTV is one of the two largest satellite providers in North America.
The bad news continues to pile on regarding the WWE Network as the F4W Newsletter is reporting that, with staffing issues and clearance issues, just to name a couple, the development of the WWE Network has slowed to a crawl over the past few weeks and it is widely believed that the launch date of the Network has been pushed back yet again, this time until 2013. If this is true, then this is the third time the launch date has been changed as WWE originally announced that the Network would launch on April 1, then it was pushed back to debuting this Fall.
There is an internal feeling that the WWE should just forget about the WWE Network and just continue debuting new shows on existing networks, like they plan on doing with WWE Main Event on ION Television (debuting October 3).
