WWE: Goldberg Wants to Face Brock Lesnar!

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that former WWE and WCW Superstar Goldberg has contacted Brock Lesnar about a potential angle between them that would see the former WCW Champion return to wrestling to face Lesnar. The issue that arises with a possible Lesnar vs. Goldberg rematch is that Brock only has two more major pay-per-view dates left on his contract with his SummerSlam opponent already selected and WWE supposedly already having plans for Lesnar at WrestleMania 29. However, with nearly a year left before WWE’s premiere event, the company could change their plans and work a Lesnar vs. Goldberg match onto the card.
Goldberg faced Brock Lesnar with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the Special Referee back at WrestleMania XX in 2004, which, at the time, was the final WWE match for both men as Brock was leaving the company to try his hand at a career in the NFL while Goldberg was ready to retire from wrestling and pursue other interests.
