Posted on June 25th, 2012 by

WWE.com has announced that the WWE will be debuting a new weekly television show on ION Television called “WWE Main Event”. WWE Main Event will debut on the network at 8/7c on Wednesday, October 3. The show will last one-hour, featuring Superstars and Divas from both RAW and SmackDown and, as the article put it, will feature “in-ring action and offer a big arena experience with live audiences”.

WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon commented on the new show, “We look forward to this new partnership with ION Television. We are excited about producing this new television show, WWE Main Event, and bringing our fans to ION Television every Wednesday.” ION Media Networks CEO Brandon Burgess also commented on WWE Main Event, “ION Television is delighted to begin a new partnership with such a successful and well-recognized franchise as WWE. As a general entertainment network with a solid foundation, WWE Main Event is a great addition to our lineup that features something for everyone. We look forward to introducing our ION audience to all of the excitement and drama WWE has to offer, as well as welcoming a passionate new fan base to the network.”

ION Network is available on DISH Network on channel 216 and DirectTV channel 305. To see what channel to find ION on in your area and through your provider, all the information is available at iontelevision.com.
