WWE: Legend Turns Down Hall of Fame Offer

As previously reported, WWE has reached out to longtime anti-WWE legend and former WWWF World Champion Bruno Sammartino to headline the 2013 Hall of Fame class. According to PWInsider, Sammartino’s representative, Sal Corrente, confirmed to them that Bruno has turned down WWE’s offer to be inducted.
PWInsiderElite.com followed up on the report, revealing that Triple H was the one who called Bruno Sammartino about joining the Hall of Fame and, while Sammartino stated in an interview with the site that Triple H was a “true gentleman” and their conversation went smoothly, Bruno’s issues with Vince McMahon supersedes all else. Sammartino even went as far as to say that, as long as Vince McMahon is a part of the company, he will never get involved with the WWE.
