Big WWE News: Diva Involved in Spousal Abuse Incident

TMZ.com is reporting that SmackDown Diva and manager Rosa Mendes (Milena Roucka) was involved in an incident involving her and her fiance, former WWE Superstar Jackson Andrews (Steven Slocum), at San Antonio International Airport late Sunday night. Ross reportedly called the San Antonio Police Department, who found the Diva crying in a bathroom stall in the airport, asking the police for help, stating that Slocum had “hit her several times at their shared residence in Las Vegas.”
The S.A.P.D. noted that Mendes was under the influence of alcohol at the time of their arrival and was telling the police that she was “afraid [that her fiance] would try and kill her. She also stated that the abuse has been an on-going thing.” Officer Matthew Porter of the S.A.P.D. said that Rosa filed a battery report around 10:17PM (local time) on Sunday night. The officers on the scene took around 30 photos of her body, which showed scratches and bruising.
A WWE representative spoke to TMZ, stating that “Milena Roucka contacted a WWE Talent Relations representative this morning [Monday] to notify WWE that, upon her arrival in San Antonio last evening [Sunday], she contacted police at the airport to report alleged domestic abuse that occurred just prior to her flight [from Las Vegas to San Antonio]. WWE is supportive of Rosa and will provide her with professional assistance.”
TMZ also notes that they attempted to contact Rosa fiance, Andy Slocum, but the ex-Superstar has yet to respond. Earlier reports claimed that Rosa was arrested for intoxication, but that has since been proven to be false.
Rosa Mendes was scheduled to appear on last night’s RAW to be in the corner, in a managerial role, of Primo & Epico for their match against The Prime Time Players, but due to this incident, Rosa was not in the arena for the show and was presumably given some time off to recover.
Steven “Jackson Andrews” Slocum was released from the WWE in 2011 after breaching his contract and refusing to go to any training sessions while in WWE’s developmental territory, FCW.
