6-Man Mayhem?

The fourth edition of WWE Main Event came to you from the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, RI. On last week’s Main Event, the ever confident Dolph Ziggler proclaimed that he deserved “better” than having to face the likes of Zack Ryder and, after putting out an open challenge to any Superstar on the roster, “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” will find himself going one-on-one with the #1 Contender for the WWE Title, the unstoppable and undefeated “Sin City Cyborg” Ryback!

Match Results

  • Ryback def. Dolph Ziggler by pin following Shell Shocked.
  • Alberto Del Rio def. Sin Cara by submission to the cross armbreaker.

Detailed Results

After career highlights featuring Ryback and Dolph Ziggler, the opening match of the night saw “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Dolph Ziggler going one-on-one with the #1 Contender for the WWE Title in the undefeated, unstoppable “Sin City Cyborg” Ryback. During the match, Dolph Ziggler would try to escape the wrath of Ryback and it seemed like Dolph made a clean getaway, but Ryback would catch up to Ziggler, carrying “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” back to the ring. It was not long after that Ryback hits Shell Shocked on Dolph Ziggler en route to picking up a big win!

With the WWE Title match between champion CM Punk and challenger Ryback inside Hell in a Cell just four nights away, CM Punk’s representative, Paul Heyman, appears on Main Event on behalf of the WWE Champion. Heyman says that some people would refer to Ryback as a “Punk-eating carnivore”, saying that Ryback is “most impressive”, but surviving Hell in a Cell takes “intelligence” and “cunning”, things that Ryback does not have. Heyman then vows that CM Punk will “feed” Ryback his very first loss this Sunday at Hell in a Cell.

Four nights before he faces Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell, “The Mexican Aristocrat” Alberto Del Rio went one-on-one with “The International Sensation” Sin Cara on WWE Main Event. In the end, it was Alberto Del Rio locking in the cross armbreaker on Sin Cara, forcing Sin Cara to tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Alberto Del Rio says that he does not have to talk about making “millions of dollars” because he has millions of dollars already. This brings out The Prime Time Players, who take issue to the jab at them from Del Rio, but Del Rio manages to convince Darren Young & Titus O’Neil to work together with him as the three Superstars attack Sin Cara! However, Randy Orton rushes to the ring, dropping The Prime Time Players with the RKO as Del Rio makes a quick escape. Orton then states that, next week, Sin Cara’s tag team partner, Rey Mysterio, will be at Main Event as “The Viper” challenges Del Rio to a 6-Man Tag that would see Del Rio and The Prime Time Players face the team of Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara, & Randy Orton!
