THREE WEEKS TO GO…AND COUNTING

THE MOUTH TO ROAR AT UPRISING
Those of you who purchased today's Daily Star newspaper will know by now that Jimmy Hart has agreed to be a part of Uprising on Saturday November 13 at Coventry SkyDome.

‘The Mouth of the South' has been appointed the special guest referee for the six-man tag team match pitting ‘The Righteous' Paul Travell, Burchill and Terry Funk against The Triad of ‘The Highlander from Hell' Drew McDonald , Thunder and Raj Ghosh .

We at Frontierwrestling.com believe that FWA Commissioner Flash Barker personally selected Jimmy Hart for the job because only a legendary manager of champions like ‘The Mouth' would have the wherewithal to be one step ahead of FWA managers ‘The Twisted Genius' Dean Ayass and Greg ‘The Truth' Lambert , to prevent them from becoming directly involved in this mammoth match.

But already, this decision has caused controversy, after Patrick Lennon of The Daily Star questioned in his Fighting Talk column whether Hart is capable of remaining impartial enough to call this match right down the middle, particularly given his history with Terry Funk.

Long time wrestling fans will be aware that ‘The Mouth' and ‘The Funker' have been enemies for years and barely two months ago reprised their bitter and violent rivalry in Memphis Wrestling.

But on the other hand, surely a man of Flash Barker's integrity would not have appointed Hart if he was not certain that he could do the job professionally and without any hint of bias.

Whatever happens on November 13, the addition of ‘The Mouth of the South' into the mix has certainly added another combustible element to what was already boiling up to be a powderkeg situation in a match where so many scores are to be settled.

BARKER CALLS THE SIGNATURE TUNE

The FWA management team has finally come to a decision over the situation surrounding D-Lo Brown, Mark ‘Five Star' Belton and ‘The Wonderkid' Jonny Storm at British Uprising 3.

Flash Barker today released a statement to www.frontierwrestling.com on behalf of the FWA top brass and it reads as follows:

“After much deliberation of the respective applications of the two candidates, the FWA management team has selected an opponent for D-Lo Brown at British Uprising 3.

That opponent, in a singles match, will be Mark ‘Five Star' Belton.

The reasons for this decision are twofold. Firstly, we have selected Mark Belton because of his exemplary won-loss record in an FWA ring in 2004, and the fact that he was denied an opportunity to wrestle an international opponent through matters beyond his control at FWA Hotwired.

Secondly, although we have taken into consideration the overwhelming public support – submitted to FWA management in the form of the Wonderwhirld Tour petition - for Jonny Storm to be reinstated to the active FWA roster, the fact remains that Mr Storm is still exempt from competing on an FWA show in an officially sanctioned match, having lost a ‘Loser Leaves FWA' match to James Tighe on May 29 2004.

However, the FWA management team had promised to reward Jonny Storm for his professionalism on the night of September 5 2004, when he stepped in at short notice to wrestle at Hotwired. That reward will take the form of an opportunity for his possible reinstatement into the FWA.

As has been made clear in previous statements released by FWA management, our main concern regarding has always been justifying Jonny Storm's return to active competition with the opinions of his peers – the wrestlers on the FWA roster.

We are aware that his reinstatement would set a dangerous precedent for the future and could also compromise the position of wrestlers who have previously been ejected from the company after Loser Leaves FWA matches.

Therefore, the FWA management team believes that on this occasion – and given the extenuating circumstances of the overwhelming public clamour for his return and his professional actions of September 5- the fairest way to determine whether Jonny Storm should be allowed back into the FWA is to put the final decision into the hands of the wrestlers themselves.

With this in mind, we will circulate an official petition among the members of the FWA roster when they assemble on Saturday November 13 at Coventry SkyDome. If the majority - 51% or more - of the wrestlers on the FWA roster sign the petition in favour of his reinstatement, then Jonny Storm will be officially welcomed back into the FWA. However, if 50% or less of the wrestlers on the roster sign the petition, then Jonny Storm's exclusion from the FWA will be permanent.

The results of this petition will be announced on the night of British Uprising 3.”

So there you have it. The final official match to be signed for FWA British Uprising 3 will pit D-Lo Brown against Mark ‘Five Star' Belton. Meanwhile, the future of Jonny Storm hangs precariously in the balance, with his ultimate fate now in the hands of his fellow wrestlers themselves.

STIXX AND STONE TO BREAK BONES AT BROXBOURNE
Members of Alex Shane 's Personal Security, Stixx and Martin Stone , are the latest names to enter the Gold Rush Battle Royal at Broxbourne Civic Hall on Sunday November 28, as the clamour for places in this prestigious event continues to grow.

Lining up at the present time in the Gold Rush – the winner of which will receive a shot at the FWA British Heavyweight Title in early 2005 – are Stixx, Stone, ‘The Specialist' Mark Sloan , James Tighe, Simmons and Ross Jordan .

More names will be announced in the coming weeks as we get closer to the first ever FWA Gold Rush.

And don't forget that this event will be also feature American star Low Ki who will receive a shot at the FWA All-England Title, against the winner of the British Uprising Last Man Standing Match between ‘South City Thrilla' Hade Vansen and Jack Xavier.

BRITISH UPRISING TO AIR ON TWC

The FWA has announced that Season 1 of the FWA TV show will soon come to an end. The new episode on Friday November 12, the eve of British Uprising 3, will be the final one in Season 1.

However, to ensure all the fans of the FWA don't have to wait too long for their next fix of televised FWA action, the British Uprising 3 event will be aired in its entirety a few weeks after the show itself, on an edition of the Supercard Sunday programme on The Wrestling Channel.

The FWA TV slot will be filled, for the time being, by the new UK Round-Up show presented by Mo Chatra.

Season 2 of FWA TV will begin after Gold Rush (November 28) and Seasons Beatings (December 10) have been recorded for television – the return date will be confirmed at a later date here on Frontierwrestling.com.

DVDS GALORE TO BE AT UPRISING
Several new FWA DVDs are in production and will be available to buy at British Uprising 3.

These will include Profile DVDs on ‘The Wonderkid' Jonny Storm, ‘The Anarchist' Doug Williams and ‘The Showstealer' Alex Shane, DVDs of episodes of FWA TV with bonus footage, and a Best of FWA Guest Matches DVD is also being worked on.

More details on prices and availability will be shown on www.frontierwrestling.com before the date of Uprising.
