Tatsumi Fujinami resigns

Legend Tatsumi Fujinami has resigned from his management role in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Although the news is huge, it’s not unexpected, as company founder Antonio Inoki has been disgruntled for a number of months with the way the promotion has been run and handled. New Japan’s plight is similar to WWE’s, although not yet as severe. Fujinami gained huge fame is Japan as a legendary junior heavyweight, then later as a heavyweight, and then as New Japan president after Seiji Sakaguchi. His downside guarantee was in the region of $500,000 per annum and more restructoring of New Japan management is excpected.
