There has been a lot of talk in the SmackDown locker room that Kurt Angle will turn heel once again to feud with Eddie Guerrero. This would explain Angle’s involvement in the Los Guerreros split. Meanwhile, the current plan is for Chavo to go to the cruiserweight division as a heel opponent for Rey Mysterio.
A cruiserweight battle royal gimmick of some kind is expected to be added to WrestleMania XX.
While on the subject of the cruiserweight division, one WWE developmental observer points out that most of the system’s current trainees are cruiserweights. Critics find this confusing as to why WWE would give so many spots to cruiserweights when Vince McMahon and the writers clearly have more interest in the heavyweight wrestlers.
