It is the signing that will send the British and European wrestling fans into a frenzy. It is the signing that will send shockwaves throughout the European wrestling industry. X Wrestling Limited can today announce that RAVEN has signed with the company, and will be at X Wrestling’s debut event – Revolution – on Saturday August 28th!
Within minutes of the deal being completed, an X Wrestling Executive contacted Raven to inform him that he would be given the opportunity to wrestle for the X Wrestling Heavyweight Title in the near future. He then went on to tell Raven that in order to receive his X Wrestling title shot, he would have to win a Number One contenders match at Revolution. His opponent? AJ STYLES! Raven and Styles are no strangers to fighting for a chance of company gold. A feud (also involving Jeff Jarrett) being a recent example in NWA:TNA. Participants for the first ever X Wrestling title match are to be determined, but with the first ever X Wrestling champion having to face either Raven or AJ Styles at a later date, rest assured that the champ is NOT going to have an easy ride while he is champ!
The UK fans have longed for Raven to appear with a UK promotion since his departure from WWE in late 2002, and now their demands have been answered! Always a popular figure with British fans since his days in ECW in the mid to late 1990s, Raven has a huge following throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland, and we are both proud and honoured that Raven will be a part of X Wrestling from our debut live event – Revolution – on Saturday August 28th. We hope to have an interview with Raven available via our website at www.xwrestling.co.uk in the near future, where he will discuss what he has in mind for the fans – and possible opponents – during his time in the United Kingdom with us.
