‘The Beast’ Bob Sapp won New Japan’s IWGP Heavyweight title on 28/3 going over Kensuke Sasaki at the Sumo Hall, Tokyo. Sapp’s first title defence will be against former titleholder Shinsuke Nakamura, who had to vacate the title due to injuries late last year. Sapp/Nakamura will take place the promotions’ 3/5 Tokyo Dome show.
