Hey once again my ever-faithful tatfans! As promised here is part two of your special double A-Side edition of The Annouce Table. So what have I got to talk about that is worthy of a second article, you wonder? Well, I want to mull over the imminent re-arrival of John Heidenreich; possibly the next next big thing.
You heard me.
Now I have only seen one promo by Heidenreich; it was on Smackdown on Saturday 17th July. Now this promo wasn’t anything that different to other promos. You see, Heidenreich is mad, he wants revenge, he wants to take out his fury on the Smackdown locker room. Good for him, I say, good luck trying. Perhaps JBL will graciously offer to pay for your medical bills?
Maybe not, though. You see tatfans, Heidenreich has teamed up with the mercurial Paul Heyman, and if there is one thing that Heyman can do better than anyone else, and that is turn whatever – or whoever – into gold.
Smackdown has never really recovered from the departure of Brock Lesnar; JBL is a smug, entertaining big man, Undertaker is the aloof big man, Luther Reigns is the green big man – but now he’s affiliated with Heyman, perhaps Heidenreich is the next awesome big man? I await with anticipation.
If there’s one thing that Heyman can do then it’s get under your skin and stay there. He was at his peak when he was the mouthpiece for the juggernaught manchild that was Brock Lesnar. Now he’s found another tall, blond, crop-haired aryan with a funny voice I expect Heyman to recapture his top form, and I expect Heidenreich to be swept up in the storm, too.
If all goes to plan, then Heidenreich will be US Champ by the Survivor Series, if it doesn’t then Heidenreich may find himslef demoted to Velocity once again and searching for his “Little Johnny”. Only time will tell.
