RBW British Heavyweight Championship Tournament Announced

Revolution British Wrestling has made the announcement that a tournament is to be held over the upcoming live events in Finchley, London and Hitchin, Hertfordshire to crown a brand new RBW British Heavyweight Champion.


The former Championship, held before the recent independence given to the Nottingham branch of RBW, has been vacated, with several RBW wrestlers reportedly excited about getting the opportunity to compete for the new Championship.


RBW Heavyweight Championship rulings state that there is no limits as far as weight classes are concerned, with any wrestler permitted to compete for the Championship.


Eight RBW wrestlers have been selected at random, which results in four quarter finals set out as below:


Saturday 25th September 2004 Finchley Sea Cadets, Finchley, North London


Quarter Final 1 – “Golden Boy” Cameron Knite (Wolverhampton) vs To Be Confirmed


Quarter Final 2 – “The Gift” Ross Jordan (Hertford, Hertfordshire) (British Welterweight Champion) vs “Sadistic” Jack Storm (Birmingham)


Semi Final 1 – Winner Of Quarter Final 1 vs Winner Of Quarter Final 2


Saturday 23rd October 2004 Westmill Community Centre, Hitchin, Hertfordshire


Quarter Final 3 – J.C Thunder (Soho, London) vs “Wildcat” Robbie Brookside (Liverpool)


Quarter Final 4 – “Sensation of the Nation” Rob Hunter (Birmingham) vs To Be Confirmed


Semi Final 2 – Winner Of Quarter Final 3 vs Winner Of Quarter Final 4


The Final of the tournament to crown the new Champion will be held at a later date this year, possibly at the magnificent Civic Hall in Wolverhampton. This is yet to be confirmed.
