All Star Wrestling Return To Bristol

After a break of almost a year, international wrestling’s top stars are returning to Bristol with Europe’s leading matchmakers All Star announcing the first of a series of monthly events at the Exhibition Hall, Ashton Gate.

The kings of the canvas will be in action at Bristol City’s soccer home on Friday 29th October and Friday 26th November, starting at 7.30pm on each occasion, and further presentations will follow in 2005 if there is sufficient public support.

‘We were all disappointed when wrestling finished at the Colston Hall in December last year and have been inundated with requests from fans to return. All Star are now delighted to have an opportunity to put Bristol back on the wrestling map but, in the long term, it is up to those same fans to show they want to see the best current talent from home and overseas,’ says All Star managing director Brian Dixon.

The opening programme on October 29th will have a strong transatlantic influence featuring the two ton American Avalanche P.N.Neusz, high flying ‘Ring of Honour’ ace Colt Cabana, Canadian ring cavalier Joe X.Legend and near seven foot tall North American colossus Brodie Steel.

British stars lined-up include the personality-plus Flatliner, London battler James Mason, the explosive UK Dream Team consisting of Kid Cool and Xtreme Dean Allmark and midget wrestler Little Legs who was regularly seen on Chris Evans TFI Friday television show.

Top ladies action is also an All Star feature and top girls including luscious Lisa Fury, blonde stunner Ashley Paige, rising stars Jetta and Minx, and ‘hell in boots’ herself, Klondyke Kate are all looking for Bristol winter action.

When the curtain finally came down at the Colston Hall, the very last contest ended in a championship upset when arrogant ‘wonder kid’ Jonny Storm relieved Doug Williams of the All Star Peoples’ title. Storm has retained his crown through almost 10 months of battles since and is ready to face a fresh challenge at Ashton Gate.

There is ample free parking at Ashton Gate and tickets for the opening bill costing £10 (adults), £8 (under 16s) and £30 for a family ticket covering two adults and two children, are now available at the Bristol City Club Shop, telephone 0870-1121897, or can be booked on line from www.bcfc.co.uk

Details of All Star events can be found on line at www.bigtimewrestlinguk.com or from the Wrestlecall phone hot line on 09068-121884 (call cost 60p min).
