Colt Cobana and RBWA invade TAP promotions

Ring of Honor and American wrestling sensation ‘Classic’ Colt Cabana and Revolution British Wrestling Alliance stars will invade TAP Promotions at Loughborough Students Union on 24 October for Autumn Anguish 2004.

Two Championship contests will also be decided at the event that is set to be TAP’s biggest ever wrestling spectacular with professional lighting and pyrotechnics. A large crowd is expected to fill the brand new ‘Room 1’ in the Union Building.

The European Icon will début his new tag team partner Mr E to take on the pairing of Flacon and The Judge known collectively as Swift Justice. The European Icon is promising that his new team mate will elevate the pairing to the top of the tag team rankings, with rumour having it that Tag Team Champions will be crowned in the coming months.

The first Championship contest of the evening will see four hot young teenage stars battle it out in a four-way elimination contest for the British Junior Heavyweight Championship. The reigning and defending Champion Simon Cann will meet the masked daredevil Kyd Flash again for the third time, also in the match are Stray and Phoenix who battled it out in a thrilling contest back in August in Ilkeston.

‘The Sensation of the Nation’ Rob Hunter will take on Morales. Little is know of Morales at this point in time, but we understand that one of Rob Hunter’s former opponents had this to say. “Rob will be in for one hell of night against Morales, that I can tell him”. Whoever comes out on top in this encounter will be sure to shoot up the rankings in TAP.

‘Old School’ Jack London and ‘Full Contact’ Chris Botherway will square off in what promises to be an exciting British submission based wrestling clinic. These two young wrestlers have had indifferent form as of late, with Jack London scoring a recent high profile victory over Rob Hunter, SpUd and El Ligero in a four-way elimination bout.

The second Championship contest of the night will see the reigning and defending United Kingdom Champion ‘Showtime’ Steve Stryka face Mexico’s El Ligero in a falls count anywhere, no disqualification hardcore contest. El Ligero, who is never afraid of putting his own body on the line in order to score a win. He will have to be on the look out though as Steve Stryka is a member of The Fan Club, who are never afraid of getting involved in other people’s matches.

Keith Myatt, a 20 year ring veteran will take on Adam Thorn in a rematch of their 30 August showdown in Ilkeston where Keith Myatt was disqualified after hitting Adam with a 2 x 4 and then continued to attack him. Adam Thorn will be aware that Keith Myatt has many tricks up his sleeve and this crafty grappling veteran cannot be trusted for one second.

The main event of the evening will see an international superstar ‘Classic’ Colt Cabana and ‘Sadistic’ Jack Storm tangle in the highest profile contest ever staged on a TAP show. Jack Storm is quickly racing up the Heavyweight rankings. Colt Cabana who is a former two time ‘Ring of Honor’ Tag Team Champion in the United States is looking to put a halt to Jack Storm’s successful run. This is a match that TAP fans are watering at the mouth to see, and judging from both athlete’s abilities, it will not disappoint.

Doors open at 8pm and bell time is 9pm. All tickets are £3.00 NUS and others £5.00. Room 1 is situated in the Loughborough Student Union Building on Ashby Road, Loughborough.
