Membership

Am I too old or too young to train at the centres?

Training is open to any age over eight. Past that age, it is neither too early or too late to learn professional wrestling no matter how old you are. Our classes are designed for those of all age groups, so there won’t be any problems.

No matter your age, if you feel up to it, please come along and give it a try. You will then know if you are capable of attending regular sessions.

Can I come along to just watch a session?

Anyone is welcome to come along and view a session.

Unlike other UK training centres, we do not charge people to watch a session, with all sessions being free of charge to watch.

Do I have to book a session?

Training sessions do not need to be booked. All you need to do is turn up, and sign a short form, and then you are ready to train. The only occasion you’d be required to book a session would be for private one-on-one training or a specialist session.

Do I have to be insured to train?

In your first session before you start, you will be required to fill out an insurance form and pay the fee for that, which covers you for the whole year.

The fee is £8 for over-16s and £5 for under-16s.

If you feel that you would no longer like to attend the following sessions at the end of that first lesson, you can have a full refund of the insurance fee (not the training fee) and your insurance will not be processed.

After the first session, insurance cancellation will not be possible.

Do I have to attend every session?

You don’t have to attend every session, however, we do recommend you try to attend the majority as it will be for your advantage in the long-run.

We also provide special additional training sessions from time to time, which you will be informed about at training.

Who is the centre open to?

The training centre is open to absolutely anyone who wants to learn professional wrestling regardless of age, fitness level, gender or nationality. We pride ourselves on providing an equal learning experience for all trainees.

You don’t need to be of any build or height either, as many professional wrestlers you will notice vary in both aspects.

Misc

Do you offer private coaching?

Private coaching can be arranged at your training centre. Just read the information above, or ask your trainer for more information.

Do you offer training for other roles in wrestling such as valets, managers etc?

We currently do not have special classes solely for this purpose, but such a session can be arranged by asking your local training centre for more information.

Prospects

How soon will I be on shows?

The first thing, before thinking that far ahead, is to learn professional wrestling properly. Our trainers will be assessing your progress at every session, and successful trainees if they work hard, will be later rewarded with in-ring experience at Revolution British Wrestling and other UK promotion shows.

How soon you will be on shows is determinable on the strength of your progress and ability. We do believe wholeheartedly that if you are determined, you can make it into wrestling, as long as you make the effort to progress.

Our trainers can offer career advice in professional wrestling and help you develop yourself both physically and mentally to assist you in your future.

Sessions

Are the trainers strict at the sessions?

The trainers are not strict at sessions. However, what they do expect from you is that you listen to what they have to say, and respect fellow trainees in the session.

A priority of ours is to maintain a pleasant environment for each trainee and we are always here to help, but we do reserve the right to require trainees to leave if necessary in the event of problems being caused by them.

Are the training sessions hard?

Training sessions are designed especially to cater for all ability and fitness levels. We wouldn’t describe training sessions as “hard”, but it comes down to the individual trainee, and his or her desire to achieve in professional wrestling.

Do I have to stay for the whole session?

You are not obliged to stay for the whole session, however the same fee for the entire session still applies and cannot be refunded.

We do encourage you to stay for the whole session, as lost training can be both a waste of money, plus one step back from getting closer to being a professional wrestler.

What do I need to wear at training sessions?

No special clothing or gear is needed at training. We encourage you to wear loose-fitting clothes, with no exposed jewellery that is likely to cause harm to yourself or others.

Professional gear can be purchased via our Gear section on the RBW website.
