Reminder – RBW In Hitchin, Herts Tomorrow!

Show Information

Live wrestling is making a second appearance this year in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, as part of Revolution British Wrestling’s successful nationwide tour which sees shows also taking place in Hemel Hempstead and also the nearby Bedfordshire town of Luton. With this event containing two of Hertfordshire’s very own wrestlers, this is definitely a show not to miss!

The last time live wrestling was seen in Hitchin was this past May, when RBW put on an event which witnessed “Misfit” Jorge Castano finally defeat Johnny Kidd on his third attempt to win the British Middleweight Championship. After the show, the Southern Alliance group along with Hitchin’s very own Rich ‘n’ Famous came out to offer Castano a place in their team. Castano surprisingly declined, leading to a outnumbered attack on himself, until Johnny Kidd chased them off.

As RBW return to Hitchin, Hertfordshire it has been announced that two of the Southern Alliance team will be in action, defending the British Tag Team Championships, those being Kent’s Chris Wyld along with Soho, London’s J.C Thunder. The two will do battle against the challengers which consist of Chelsea, London’s ever-popular, former British Welterweight Champion and number 1 ranked RBW star, Sammy Ray who teams up with Ireland’s heavyweight star Eamon O’Neil.

The two had a brief partnership back in June, with a six-man tag team contest being held which saw O’Neil and Ray team up with “Golden Boy” Cameron Knite, only to be defeated narrowly by the Southern Alliance team of Chris Wyld, J.C Thunder and the current British Welterweight Champion, “The Gift” Ross Jordan.

An addition to the line-up sees Flyin’ Phil Powers in his first RBW contest, following the controversial end to the British Welterweight Championship contest between Sammy Ray and “The Gift” Ross Jordan which saw Powers as the special guest referee. Powers ended up attacking Sammy Ray helping Ross Jordan to victory.

A contest between Sammy Ray and Phil Powers has been signed for Chingford, London on Saturday 13th November 2004.

In Hitchin, Hertfordshire, Phil Powers’ first port of call is in a singles contest against Hampshire’s returning Andy Simmonz. For those who remember, Andy Simmonz aided the Southern Alliance in Sheffield, Yorkshire back in February of this year, but has not been seen since. With two Southern Alliance members on the show, it will be interested to see what develops.Andy Simmonz.

The original opponent for Simmonz was Kid Romeo, Hertfordshire’s very own home-grown star who makes his RBW comeback contest, following on from several months of absence against another wrestler who is also making his comeback, Hitchin’s very own Rich ‘n’ Famous – with a difference. Rich ‘n’ Famous has told us that he plans to make his return with a new style and attitude.

RBW’s very own trained ‘Next Generation’ wrestler Bobby Hostile from Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, makes his singles debut at this event, following an extensive programme of training that saw Hostile trained by some of the very best in wrestling, including recent WWE-appearing “Wildcat” Robbie Brookside, Johnny Kidd, “Misfit” Jorge Castano, Sammy Ray, Mark Shaman and Ashe from the New Breed tag team, at the RBW London Training Centre in Enfield, London/Middlesex. Hostile will be tangling with Tower Hamlets’ arrogant, yet capable, Flaming Red, who made his debut recently in RBW. This contest is set to have a spark, with both wrestlers desperately wanting to climb up the ladder of success.

With a strong line-up announced for this event, it is quite possible, if not likely, that Hitchin, Hertfordshire will be a regular fixture for top quality live wrestling for the foreseeable future. Several 2005 dates in Hitchin, Hertfordshire have already been announced!
