UKPW tag tournament
The brackets have now been completed for the UKPW Tag Team title tournament on April 29th. The four teams entered for the tournament are The Towel Boys (Andy Simmonz & Ian Logan), The Green Machine (Anton Green & Marcus Hiscott), Team Sexay (Jamie James & Chris Botherway) and Ethan Hayze & Stevie James.
First Round: The Towel Boys vs The Green Machine
Kicking off the tournament will be a grudge match between The Green Machine and The Towel Boys. This tag team rivalry began in Holbury last September when Simmonz and Logan spent most of the night both antagonising and brutalising the popular pairing of Green and Hiscott. Following a singles contest between Simmonz and Green, a challenge was made for the two teams to clash at the next event to take place in Holbury. The match was agreed to by both teams and UKPW have decided to honour that commitment and ensure that this long awaited encounter takes place during the tournament. Both teams are anxious to square off on April 29th and with the stakes raised considerably higher, you can bet victory will be much sweeter for the team that is able to knock their rivals out of the title tournament.
First Round:Team Sexay vs Ethan Hayze & Stevie James
The second contest in the tournament will see a rematch from last month’s event in Hackney, London when Team Sexay take on Ethan ‘The Heat’ Hayze and ‘Wrestling’s Cool Kid’ Stevie James. In their previous encounter, Team Sexay scored victory against the team that many have tipped to become tag champions since forming a team in October last year. Will Team Sexay be able to win consecutive matches against Hayze and James or will the popular duo be able to gain redemption en route to the tournament final?
Tournament Final: ? ? ?
Regardless of who advances on April 29th, the tournament final will feature a never before seen encounter between the top tag teams in UKPW and the winning team will go down in history as the very first UKPW Tag Team champions. If that wasn’t big enough, a major announcement will be made shortly that will no doubt rock the foundations of United Kingdom Pro Wrestling!
