Despite word coming out this weekend that Matt Hardy was set to be at Monday’s RAW, he was reportedly asked by management to avoid attending the show. Matt was in driving distance and wanted to visit friends backstage, but was kindly asked not to show up and did adhere to the request.
This move was by no means an indication of WWE siding with Edge and Lita over Hardy. But, unlike Hardy, they were booked for the show and needed to be present. WWE saw no upside to aggravating the situation by placing Hardy in the same lockerroom as those two workers, so made the decision to ask Hardy to refrain from attending.
