FWA: “New Frontiers” Update, “Crunch” Weekend & “War On The Shore”

NEW MATCH SIGNED FOR NEW FRONTIERS
FWA ‘A’ tag team warfare has been added to New Frontiers on Sunday, February 5 when two members of the EntouRAGE – ‘The Specialist’ Mark Sloan and Ollie Burns, take on FWA ‘A’ Heavyweight Champion Dan Head and his partner Max Voltage.

This intriguing clash involving four of Portsmouth’s finest has been added to the New Frontiers line-up.  Get your tickets now by calling 01992 441946.

CRUNCH WEEKEND ANNOUNCED
FWA Crunch will take place on Sunday, April 2 at Broxbourne Civic Hall. Tickets will go on sale for Crunch on the night of New Frontiers and will be available for fans to buy at that show.

The previous night, Saturday April 1, the FWA will return to Sudbury Leisure Centre, in Sudbury, Suffolk, for the first time since the British Breakout Tour in 2003.  We are delighted to be returning to one of our old stomping grounds; scene of Jonny Storm winning the FWA All-England Title from Chris Hamrick, former WWE star Juventud Guerrera defeating The Zebra Kid and one of the memorable wars between The Family and The Showswearers.

The Crunch Weekend kicks off on Friday, March 31 with an FWA ‘A’ show at Buckland Community Centre in Portsmouth.  So that’s three shows in three days for FWA fans.

And that’s not all.  The FWA is well aware that WrestleMania is taking place in the early hours of Monday, April 3.  In an exclusive deal for Hotwired ticket holders, anyone who attends Hotwired will be entitled to discounted entry into a WrestleMania viewing party at Belushi’s nightclub in Camden, London.

We will bring you more details on the Crunch Weekend in the weeks to come.

FWA v ALL-STAR REMATCH IN PIPELINE
Following the FWA’s controversial loss of the British Inter-Federation Cup to All-Star back in November, the British Inter-Federation Cup Committee recently brought FWA officials and All-Star owner Brian Dixon together to set up a rematch at the earliest available opportunity.

Alex Shane’s Team FWA lost the Cup to All-Star in its first defence at Croydon’s Fairfield Halls in November, when the deciding match ended in a DQ victory for Joe Legend’s All-Star team.

As the initial FWA-All-Star confrontation happened on All-Star turf, the rematch is expected to take place on FWA soil – with the Morecambe Dome looking favourite to host the event.

More news is expected to become available on the FWA v All-Star rematch very soon.

BATTLE ROYAL, LEROY, HADE SET FOR MORECAMBE
All-England Champions past and present have signed to appear at FWA War On The Shore at the Morecambe Dome on Saturday March 4.

Current champ Leroy Kincade will return to The Dome for the first time in more than a year, to show off his newly-won All-England Title.

Also on the show is the man Kincade beat to raise the belt, the longest reigning All-England Champion in FWA history, ‘The South City Thriller’ Hade Vansen.  We now await news of what Vansen and Kincade’s role on the show will be.

The FWA has also announced a treat for all seaside fans on March 4, as an over-the-top-rope Battle Royal will headline the Morecambe Dome show. This is the first time a Battle Royal has been held on an FWA show at the Morecambe Dome and if previous FWA Battle Royals are anything to go by, it will be a chaotic fight to bring a whole new meaning to the term ‘War On The Shore’!

And remember, FWA War On The Shore will be a night when scores are settled and bad blood comes to the fore when the Yorkshire hard man Johnny Angel calls out his rival ‘The Showstealer’ Alex Shane.

Angel has announced his intention to challenge the FWA British Heavyweight Champion to a fight on March 4 and as regulars at the Morecambe Dome will know, these two have a bitter history stretching back to the FWA Summer Classic Tour last July and beyond.

Tickets ARE NOW ON SALE for FWA War On The Shore in Morecambe from the box office on 01524 582803.  Prices will be £16 for Gold Ringside (front row only), £10 for adults and £7.50 for children/concessions.  Doors are 7pm and bell time is 7.30pm.
