– PWInsider has confirmed that the pilot shot for MTV in conjunction with Big Vision Entertainment on 2/9 in Los Angeles, California will be a 30 minute pilot. The live crowd, originally planned to number around 500, has now been reduced to 300 tickets.
The pilot taping will feature Sean Waltman, Teddy Hart, Jack Evans, New Jack, Vampiro, PJ Polaco (formerly Justin Credible), and Matt Sydal. Lizzy Valentine (formerly Valentina) is also booked to appear as an on-air persona on the pilot.
There will also be dark matches featuring Puma vs. Tommy Williams, Human Tornado vs. Delirious vs. Luke, and a six man tag bout featuring Disco Machine & Joey Ryan & Topgun Talwar vs. Scorpio Sky & Zokre & Phoenix Star.
– Add Buff Bagwell, Jim Cornette, Rick Steiner, The Midnight Express, and Lance Russell to the 3/5 World Wrestling Legends PPV taping at Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida. Already scheduled for the taping are Diamond Dallas Page, Bruno Sammartino, Kamala, Bobby Heenan, Koko B. Ware, Mike Graham, and Jimmy Hart.
The taping will feature a three man commentary team of Russell (calling his first PPV broadcast), Cornette, and Ron Niemi, a Florida indy manager who also works with Deep South Wrestling.
There were site surveys done on the venue this week and many more names are expected to be added to the project shortly as contracts are returned.
