Welcome back to the UK Scene with me, your ever lovable Saz, this week we will take a look at a new venture as well as what a couple of the established federations are up to.

North:

WZW have risen to the challenge of there being stiff competition for the prize of top Northern promotion. What is refreshing is that there are some good (nee, great) promotions coming from up where it is a touch colder.

The promotion is currently on tour and have reported a few teething troubles (which is the bane of any promotion, ALWAYS the little things). Let’s hope we hear more from WZW and what they are up to here on W101.

Wales:

Johnny Storm missed out on taking the Celtic Wrestling belt from Chris Recall after the champion was disqualified, as you all know belts change hands by Pinfall or submission only.

Midlands:

FCW have announced intimidation on 26th March where the Judge has announced a special surprise at his FCW championship title shot on the night, details are sketchy, curious? Pop along to their show and see what the crack is.

KSW have announced their March seminar and are looking for new blood to fill the ranks, if you think that you have what it takes to become a professional wrestler book your place. It is worth noting that some of the most noteable British talent were trained at the K-Star gym, that is fact!

LPW are continuing their run of shows with a further unnamed show in Leicester on April 15th. Ronin vs Samurai sounds interesting, especially in the history context the match suggests.

A little shout for Triple X or 3XW (?) who are performing their debut show on the 9th April which has a lot of up and coming stars on it, so much the promoters boast 3 hours of wrestling fun, however, I believe this show is not for children.

I’ll repeat that, not for children.

One thing that is bugging me at the moment is why do promotions insist on putting the month in front of the date? Has America completely taken over wrestling that we change our way of stating the calendar as well?

Day first + month second = British!

Be proud of it!

We drive on the left too!

South:

FWA have announced that Billy Kidman on Sunday 30th April in Colchester. Current push Hade Vansen will also be attending the show.

LDN have their “No holds barred” show on 26th March (Kudos to LDN for being the first to put it as British calendar!) Go see this show, they know how to set a date! go on, you know you want to!

Well, that’s about it for me and my Calendaric rants, is calendaric a word? Maybe not, but I think my rant has been justified as proper and right?

Ok, I’ll go, but I’ll be back!
