FWA: Upcoming Show Previews

Thanks to FWA for sending this in:

FWA – UPCOMING SHOWS PREVIEW

Frontier Wrestling Alliance brings you the cream of British Wrestling throughout the months of April and May with four huge shows.

First off is FWA ‘Who’s Fooling Who?’ on Saturday, April 1 from the Sudbury Sports Centre in Sudbury, Suffolk.

THE MAIN EVENT –

FWA British Heavyweight Champion ‘The South City Thriller’ Hade Vansen (with Nikita) and James Tighe v ‘The Phoenix’ Jody Fleisch and ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm

New champ Hade Vansen will defend his title at Crunch the following night against Jonny Storm, having already successfully defended it back in February against Storm’s friend Jody Fleisch.  At Sudbury, Vansen – the ever-lovely and dangerous Nikita at his side – has to wrestle both Fleisch and Storm, but he has recruited technical wrestling machine, and sworn enemy of Jonny Storm, James Tighe to help him out.  Expect bad blood to come to the fore in this true grudge main event.

FINALLY…HARDCORE ICON v INSANE ICON –

‘The Righteous’ Paul Travell v Iceman (with Greg ‘The Truth’ Lambert)

Twice this match has been postponed.  Twice these two insanely violent stars of British Wrestling have had to wait to get their hands on each other.  On April 1, the wait is finally over.  Iceman and Greg Lambert have vowed to end Travell’s career.  The Righteous One has vowed revenge on The Beast from the North East and his dastardly manager.  Expect chaos, brutality and for anything not nailed down in the Sudbury Sports Centre to be used in pursuit of pain and punishment.

FWA ALL-ENGLAND TITLE – Leroy Kincade v Mystery Challenger from any UK Promotion

New FWA All-England Champion Leroy Kincade wants to be a fighting champion in the truest sense of the name of his championship. So the undefeated powerhouse has promised to defend against absolutely anyone, whether they are under contract to the FWA or not.

FWA FLYWEIGHT ACTION – ‘The Man Gravity Forgot’ Pac v Stevie Lynn

Dynamic daredevil newcomer Pac is the most talked about new star in British Wrestling.  At Sudbury he makes his debut against fellow north east star Stevie Lynn in a flyweight battle between two of the UK’s most talented young athletes.

FWA DEBUT MATCH – Paul Tyrrell v ‘The Pukka One’ Darren Burridge

It’s hard to believe it, but this will be 15 year veteran Tyrrell’s first appearance in an FWA ring.  His opponent is the mega-popular Chav God of British Wrestling, whose legions of Motherpukkas will be solidly behind Burridge in this battle of the Essex boys.

FWA ACADEMY BEST OF 3 SERIES (MATCH ONE) –

‘The Specialist’ Mark Sloan and Ollie Burns v Dan Head and Max Voltage

Two of the FWA Academy’s finest tag teams square off in match one of a three-match series to determine who moves up the ladder for a possible crack at the FWA British Tag Team Titles.

FWA Live in Sudbury – ‘Who’s Fooling Who?’ – on Saturday April 1 (April Fool’s Day) comes to you from the Sudbury Sports Centre, Tudor Road, Sudbury, Suffolk. Doors are at 6pm and bell time is 6.30pm. Tickets cost £15 for front row ringside, £10 for adults and £7 for children. Tickets can be bought for the show on www.frontierwrestling.com, by telephoning our 24 hour ticket hotline on 08700 600 100 or by visiting Sudbury Sports Centre where tickets will be on sale at the front desk.

FWA Crunch on Sunday, April 2 at Broxbourne Civic Hall, Hoddesdon, Herts

THE MAIN EVENT –

FWA British Heavyweight Champion ‘The South City Thriller’ Hade Vansen (with Nikita) v ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm

It is Jonny Storm’s dream to be British Heavyweight Champion.  He has won many accolades in his career but this is one title, the biggest title in British Wrestling, that he has never won.  Can he knock Vansen and Nikita, the new King and Queen of British Wrestling, off their thrones?  Or will Hade continue the controversial reign that began at New Frontiers when he shocked British Wrestling fans everywhere by ending Alex Shane’s championship run?  Be at Broxbourne on April 2 to find out!

HARDCORE ICON v INSANE ICON II (THE REMATCH)-

‘The Righteous’ Paul Travell v Iceman (with Greg ‘The Truth’ Lambert)

If there is anything left of Travell and Iceman after their potential war in Sudbury, they will do battle again at Broxbourne Civic Hall, home to some brutal FWA matches of the past like Alex Shane v Jack Xavier, The Family v The Showswearers, and now surely The Hardcore Icon v The Insane Icon will be added to the list.

FWA ALL-ENGLAND TITLE – Leroy Kincade v Mystery Challenger from any UK Promotion

(this match takes place ONLY if Leroy successfully defends his title in Sudbury the previous night)

FWA BRITISH TAG TEAM TITLES –

Stixx and Martin Stone v The New Breed (Dean Ayass banned from ringside)

At Hotwired 2005, the popular former two-time FWA tag champs The New Breed reunited and returned to the FWA.  Riding a wave of crowd emotion, Ashe and Curve nearly upset the bruising champions Stixx and Stone. But the champs’ manager ‘The Twisted Genius’ Dean Ayass cost them the bout.  This won’t happen at Crunch, as Ayass has been banned from ringside, giving The Breed a real shot at becoming three-time British Tag Team Champions…assuming they can get past the most dominant duo in the UK today.

FWA BRITISH FLYWEIGHT TITLE THREE-WAY MATCH –

Ross Jordan v Pac v Stevie Lynn

Long-reigning Flyweight champ Ross Jordan, who recently turned his back on the FWA fans, has his work cut out for him against not one, but two dangerous opponents, either of whom is capable of relieving him of his precious belt.

‘CLASH OF PERSONALITIES’ MATCH –

James Tighe v ‘The Pukka One’ Darren Burridge

Two differing styles and personas will collide when straight-laced serious wrestler James Tighe meets the fun-loving chav ‘The Pukka One’.

FWA ACADEMY BEST OF 3 SERIES (MATCH TWO) –

‘The Specialist’ Mark Sloan and Ollie Burns v Dan Head and Max Voltage

Tickets are NOW ON SALE for FWA Crunch at Broxbourne Civic Hall, Hoddesdon, Herts, on Sunday April 2. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £22 for Gold Ringside, £12 for adults, £8 for children and £30 for a family ticket. The box office number is 01992 441946.

Anyone who buys a ticket to Crunch can get into a WrestleMania XXII party later that evening at Belushi’s nightclub, 48-50 Camden High Street, London, for a reduced ticket price.
