FWA: James Tighe vs. Leroy Kincade Signed For “NOAH Limits 2” & More

NEWS FLASH 11/4/06 – ALL-ENGLAND TITLE MATCH SIGNED

In the latest match signed for FWA NOAH Limits 2 at Colchester Hippodrome on Sunday, April 30, FWA All-England Champion the undefeated Leroy Kincade will put his belt on the line against the technical wrestling machine James Tighe.

Although the FWA has installed ‘The Pukka One’ Darren Burridge as number one contender to the All-England belt, the Chav God is already signed to wrestle Paul Tyrrell in an Essex Streetfight on the show. Therefore Tighe, taking advantage of Leroy’s open contract to defend the belt against anyone in the UK whether they are under contract to FWA or not, has taken great delight in signing for this title shot.

Tighe has a lot to prove, as he seems to be on another losing streak in the FWA. James has yet to win an FWA match in 2006, but last time he was on a streak like this in 2004, he rebounded by beating Jonny Storm and AJ Styles back-to-back in big match situations. So never count out Tighe when the stakes are highest – as this match is his chance to earn championship gold in the FWA for the very first time.

But he’s certainly got his work cut out for him against the explosive powerhouse Kincade, who not only defended his title twice on the Crunch Weekend, but did so with no time to prepare for his opponents Dragon Aisu and Jorge Castano, then crushed them both in less than five minutes flat!

NEWS FLASH 11/4/06 – FWA v ALL-STAR NEWS

It’s official. FWA British Heavyweight Champion ’The South City Thriller’ Hade Vansen will be the third member of Team FWA to face Team All-Star in the huge grudge rematch for the British Inter-Federation Cup on Saturday, May 13.  But the question remains, is Vansen going to be a team player, and how will he co-exist with team partner ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm in the aftermath of FWA Crunch?  Team captain Stevie Knight will have his work cut out keeping Vansen and Storm focussed on the goal that everyone here in the FWA is hoping they achieve, to regain the British Inter-Federation Cup.

The identity of Team FWA’s fourth member is expected to be revealed next week.

Meanwhile Brian Dixon remains tight-lipped on the identity of the third and fourth members of Team All-Star so we can only speculate as to whom they might be. The likes of Gangrel, James Mason, Steve Sonic, Domino, Drew McDonald, Robbie Dynamite, Dean 2 Xtreme, Kid Cool, Mikey Whiplash, Julio Torres and Flatliner have all been regulars on recent All-Star shows and Dixon is bound to pick someone who he can trust in his attempt to help Robbie Brookside and Five Star Flash retain the Cup.

TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE for FWA v All-Star for the British Inter-Federation Cup at The Dome, Morecambe, on Saturday May 13. They cost £16 for front row ringside, £10 for adults, £7.50 for children and £30 for a family ticket. The box office number is 01524 582803.

Featuring – TEAM FWA

Stevie Knight (captain), ‘The South City Thriller‘ Hade Vansen, ‘The Wonderkid Jonny Storm’ and one other TBA versus

TEAM ALL-STAR

Robbie Brookside (captain), Five Star Flash and two others TBA

The British Inter-Federation Cup Committee met earlier this week and has now confirmed the exact rules for this contest. There will be four singles matches on the night. Each match will have a 15 minute time limit. The winner of each match will score two points for his team. A draw will earn each wrestler one point for his team. The fifth match will be a Survivor four-on-four elimination tag match with no time limit where the winning team will receive two points for each surviving team member.  The team with the most points at the end of the Survivor Tag Team match will be declared the winners.  In the event of a tie, Team All-Star will retain the British Inter-Federation Cup.

NEWS FLASH 11/4/06 – CLEETHORPES AND UKP RETURN!

The FWA will return to the Winter Gardens in Cleethorpes on Thursday, June 29 for a show that will also see the return to the FWA of Europe’s largest tag team, The UK Pitbulls.

Bulk and Big Dave have also been announced for the FWA’s second show of the year at Sudbury Sports Centre on Saturday, August 5, and we have also learned that the UKP have also put pen to paper to sign for FWA’s third show of 2006 at The Dome in Morecambe on Saturday, July 15.

We can only speculate as to the reasons why the Pitbulls have returned to the FWA and have signed for three shows in such quick succession. Perhaps the current FWA British Tag Team Champions Stixx and Martin Stone should be looking over their shoulders in concern?

Tickets are now on sale for FWA in Sudbury on August 5 by calling 08700 600100 and stay tuned for details of tickets going on sale for Cleethorpes on June 29 and for Morecambe on July 15.
