SAMOA JOE ADVANCES OVER STING TO THE KING OF THE MOUNTAIN MATCH AT SLAMMIVERSARY
On Thursday’s “iMPACT!”, it was “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe advancing over the icon Sting in a qualifying bout to earn a spot in the King Of The Mountain match at Slammiversary on Sunday, June 17. During the bout, “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels came to ringside and tried to convince Sting to use his black bat on Joe, but the icon refused. Later, Daniels smashed Sting with the weapon, which led to the former World Champion being unable to fend off the attack from Joe. With the win, Samoa Joe joins Kurt Angle in the Pay-Per-View main event, with another qualifying match this Thursday on “iMPACT!” with Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles!

IT’S OFFICIAL – TAG TEAM DREAM MATCH SIGNED: TEAM 3D VS. THE STEINER BROTHERS ON JUNE 17 AT SLAMMIVERSARY
Also on Thursday’s SpikeTV broadcast, a tag team dream match was made official for “Slammiversary” as it will be TNA World Tag Team Champions Team 3D battling the legendary Steiner Brothers for the first time in TNA Wrestling history! During the face-off between the teams, Brother Ray and Brother Devon tried to pay respect to The Steiners, but “Big Poppa Pump” ripped into Team 3D unmercifully, claiming they didn’t deserve to call themselves one of the greatest ever until they beat The Steiner Brothers. As a result, Scott Steiner made the challenge for the two legendary teams to battle on Sunday, June 17 live on Pay-Per-View in a bout fans everywhere will be looking forward to!

OTHER NEWS FROM THURSDAY’S “iMPACT!” ON SPIKE TV:

– According to Robert Roode, Eric Young has one more week to respond to his lawsuit regarding his ownership of the TNA star – or things will get ugly for both Young and TNA management!

– Following the tag team bout on Thursday’s broadcast featuring The Latin American Xchange vs. “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage and Tomko, The LAX nearly beat down Hector Guerrero as the bad blood continues to boil between Konnan and Guerrero. If it wasn’t for “The War Machine” Rhino and “Wildcat” Chris Harris coming to Guerrero’s aid, The LAX was ready to attack their newfound nemesis.

– Also on Thursday night, Christy Hemme’s team of Basham and Damaja put another beating on Kip James. During the bout with James and Lance Hoyt vs. Basham and Damaja, Hoyt attempted to eliminate Hemme from the ringside area – which opened up the opportunity for her team to brutally attack Kip James.
