IWF – Fightin’ in Ryton Ryton

LEE KYLE v JORDAN WRIGHT

These two, former best friends, clashed in May, when Kyle cheated Wright out of the Ring of Faith Championship (Which Kyle has re-named the Northeast Championship.). Jordan gets his chance at revenge in the main event of ‘Fightin’ in Ryton’.   During the first match, Lee knocked Jordan’s tooth out, which many suggested had a disorientating effect on Wright, however, Jordan was still able kick out of one ‘Lee Kyle’s Patented Move’. Sadly for Jordan, Kyle followed up with a metal bar assisted version of the same move to win the title.   Kyle has managed to get this match made a non-title encounter, but with Jordan set to wrestle Jed Masters for the IWF title a week after this show, perhaps Wright would be willing to sacrifice a shot at one title in an attempt to win the most illustrious prize the IWF has to offer. Wright will now be able to fully focus on revenge…

SHAUN AVERY v YOUNGSTA

In February, Youngsta seemed to have retired his older brother Shaun Avery by causing him a severe back injury, Youngsta, the former IWF Champion, then retired himself, feeling he has nothing left to achieve.   Word recently reached us that Shaun had noticed an improvement in the condition of his back, and wanted one more match to see if he could recapture the form that once saw him pin ‘American Dragon’ Bryan Danielson. Not only that, but he requested that the match be against his brother.   At ‘Fightin’ in Ryton’, Shaun Avery will find out if this is a risk worth taking.

IWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
NEW AGE ASBOs (‘Charva MC’ Pauly C and ‘Big Issue’ Robbie Ryder) V TIM PERVITO & ‘J-BIRD’ JOEY WRIGHT (w/ LEXX)

After pinning the team of Billy Morrison and Lewis Beardsley, Joey and Tim earned the right to be the first challengers to the ASBOs newly won IWF Tag Team titles, but they also earned the right to choose the matches of Morrison and Beardsley at ‘Fightin’ in Ryton’. Pauly and Ryder won the titles from the ‘Team With No Name’ in July after a long quest to win the belts and will be determined to have a long reign as IWF Tag Team Champions.   They will not have an easy task however, against the devious Joey Wright and his partner Tim Pervito, who is regarded as one of the top tag team specialists in the UK, the ASBOs will also have to have eyes in the back of their heads, should they want to prevent the interference of Lexx on the outside.

LEWIS ‘THE DRAGON’ BEARDSLEY V MICKY L V HARRY PAIN

Beardsley’s opponents for this match were chosen by Tim Pervito, and the Dragon will want to gain momentum to build up to his ‘hair v hair’ match with Pervito on Sept 15th. Lewis has spent 2007 trying to compete against more experienced competitors, and, although he has yet to pick up a victory, he has improved with each outing.   It won’t get any easier, with his opponents being two of the best in the Northeast. Micky L is the arrogant member of the ‘North East’s Finest’ group, and is said to have demanded a high fee from Pervito to compete in this match. Harry Pain, wrestling for only the second time this year, is best known as a former IWF Tag Team Champion (With Pac).

‘BIG MO’ BILLY MORRISON v FLOWER CHILD

Flower Child, Joey Wright’s choice of opponent for Billy Morrison in this match, goes into this match with a dilemma, he is known as a powerhouse, but very well may not have a power advantage against Morrison, who is an accomplished power-lifter.   Nevertheless, the former IWF Tag Team Champion is still a formidable opponent for ‘Big Mo’ who is said to still be depressed about the break up of his tag team with Joey Wright, he will need to stay focused if he is to have ant chance at all.

IWF JUNIOR ACADEMY CHAMPIONSHIP
RICKY ‘VAN’ JAN (w/BIG GARY) v EL PELIGRO V BALLS OF STEEL V HARRISON LAWSON
