Breaking WWE News: John Cena Out of Action for 6 Months to One Year

Mr. McMahon came out at the beginning of this week’s ECW and stated that WWE Champion John Cena suffered a torn pectoral muscle at RAW during a match with Mr. Kennedy. McMahon stated that Cena had to undergo emergency surgery on his shoulder and will be out of action for anywhere from 6 months to a year. McMahon then announced that Cena would vacate the title due to this injury and that a new champion will be crowned at No Mercy. However, McMahon did not reveal the participants in the match. Common sense would put Randy Orton in the match, but it is unclear at this point. All we know is that a new WWE Champion is guaranteed at No Mercy and the Last Man Standing Match is off and that McMahon promised that "history will be made at No Mercy". Stay tuned to Wrestling 101 for more.

On a bit of a lighter note, a poll on WWE.com has Val Venis as being voted the favorite to be WWE Champion at No Mercy with more than 50% of the votes.
