[Article] Former WWE Superstars: Where Are They Now?

This article is pretty much what the title of it says. This is an article that will update you on where some of the former WWE superstars are at and what they are doing currently for fun or to make a living. Whatever the case, let’s get started:

Eric Bischoff

Since his WWE contract officially expired on August 5, 2007, Bischoff has been keeping himself busy with the VH1 show, "Scott Baio Is 45………And Single", for which Bischoff is an executive producer for, along with his friend and business partner, Jason Hervey (Hervey-Bischoff Productions). Hervery & Bischoff were also executive producers on the reality show, "I Want To Be A Hilton". Currently Hervey-Bischoff Productions is working on a reality show featuring the lead singer of Limp Bizkit, Fred Durst (they are also looking to produce a Fred Durst endorsed energy drink). As far as his home life, Bischoff resides in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife and two kids. With all that, it seems like Bischoff has found his niche outside of the wrestling business.

Trinity

Since her released from the WWE on June 22, 2007, Stephanie "Trinity" Finochio has returned to her old job as a Hollywood stuntwoman. Finochio has been a stunwoman in such movies as Taxi, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Daredevil, & Spiderman 2, among others. She keeps herself busy as a stuntwoman and seems to be doing very well for herself outside the wrestling world.

The Big Show

Since he opted to retire in December of last year (his contract officially expired in February), Paul "Big Show" Wight has slimmed down tremendously and is currently pursuing a career as a boxer. He is also looking into doing a movie of some sort. He has stated before that he would be glad to take a role in a comedy film, though that has taken a backseat in his career for now. Paul still occasionally wrestles. His last notable match was in April at a Memphis Wrestling event against a good friend of his, Hulk Hogan. Though wrestling is a passion for the biggest wrestler in sports-entertainment, Paul Wight (or as he likes to be called, Paul "The Great" Wight) seems more focused and more determined to be a boxer. Wight is currently training in Miami in preparation for his boxing career.

Sylvester Terkay

Since being released from the WWE in January of this year, Sylvester Terkay has been training and working on his wrestling skill at UPW (Ultimate Pro Wrestling) and he is confident that he will return to the WWE in the future.

Steve Romero

The former WWE commentator, Steve Romero (his real name is actually Todd Romero), left the WWE very quietly sometime earlier this year. Since his departure, Romero has taken a job in Orlando as the weekend sports anchor for WKMG-TV.

Mama Benjamin

Thea Vidale (known in the WWE as Mama Benjamin) has returned to her passion of being a stand up comedian following her release last year.

Muhammad Hassan

Since the WWE released him late in 2005, Mark "Muhammad Hassan" Copani has kept fairly quiet. Copani is aspiring to be an actor, but would love to return to the WWE in some form or fashion.

Grandmaster Sexay

Brian "Grandmaster Sexay" Lawler has kept busy in the wrestling world since he was released from the WWE for alleged drug use and abuse. Lawler has most recently worked in TNA under his real name. In 2004, Jim Ross, as a favor to Jerry "The King" Lawler, resigned Brian to a contract with the WWE, but Brian would not even get out of the blocks as he would be released from the WWE again. Currently Brian wrestles independently around the world and in his father’s promotion Memphis Championship Wrestling (MCW). Most recently, there has been talk within TNA of bringing Brian Lawler and Scott Garland (Scotty 2 Hotty) in and reform Too Cool with Rikishi.

Kevin Kelly

Until recently, no one had heard from Kevin Kelly, but a big announcement was made recently that Kevin Kelly is now working for the wrestling site, WrestleZone.com.

Luna Vachon

Luna Vachon (real name: Gertrude Vachon) has kept herself busy since her release from WWE some time ago. In addition to being a tow truck operator, Luna manages her real life husband, David Heath (known in WWE as Gangrel) on several independent bookings and other events. Luna still wrestles occasionally, but has taken more of a managerial role for her husband’s career.

Gillberg

Believe it or not, Duane "Gillberg" Gill still wrestles on the independent circuit as, what else, Gillberg. The longest reigning Light Heavyweight Champion in history (15 months) still travels the world as the entertaining Gillberg.

I will post another article regarding former WWE superstars at a later date. Keep an eye out for some more of my articles, as well as my RAW, ECW, and SmackDown! results and my news reports on the wild world of wrestling here on Wrestling 101.
