Due to the writers’ striker in Hollywood and New York City, there has been talk that NBC would approach WWE about holding some extra Saturday Night’s Main Event programs. New episodes of Saturday Night Live halted as soon as the writer’s strike went into effect because they write material up until the day of the show. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was scheduled to appear on the 11/3 show, but it had to be cancelled due to the strike. The strike is expected to last up to 7 months (5 months minimal).
