Given the report that WWE.com on Matt Hardy after his emergency appendectomy surgery (which he had on November 20), WWE.com stated that the doctors are saying that Matt Hardy would be out for 8-10 Weeks. If that is indeed true, then that will have Matt Hardy being able to return in mid to late January, possibly even in time for the WWE Royal Rumble on January 27.
