When WWE started talking about going in HD, there was concern among a number of people in the company because they were unsure on how it would portray their product on TV, such as exposing the "fakeness" of the matches, which could be covered up to a degree by the lower quality production. The other main concern is that HD would reveal the appearance of the older wrestlers and Divas a bit more. WWE would have preferred staying in the old format, but technology is changing and as a business they must adapt.
