The hall of fame selections for the class of 2008 are said to be close to being completed. At this point, Mae Young and Ric Flair are considered to be a lock. If WWE can get The Rock for the ceremony, Rocky Johnson and "High Chief" Peter Maivia are considered strong candidates. Dusty Rhodes is pushing for legendary announcer Gordon Solie to be inducted. I know Jim Ross has unsuccessfully pushed for Solie in the past. The 2008 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on March 29 from the Amway Arena in Orlando, FL and it is very likely that it will be on the USA Network (though if the Writer’s Strike continues, it could be on NBC) and it is presumed that it will take place at 11/10c.
