The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE Films has hired the former Senior VP of Production & Development for Dimension Films, Steve Barnett. WWE hired Barnett to focus on marketing and making PG-13 films for WWE that are budgeted at $20,000,000, so they are already backing out on the "straight to DVD" idea that they was heading towards in the past. They believe that the kids that come to see WWE Live Events will go to see the films to see their favorite WWE Superstars. It is widely believed that "The Game Plan" was an eye-opener for WWE and that they can do films like that, as well.
