Great Khali has been promoted from assistant sub inspector to sub inspector by the Punjab police force. “He has brought the force international fame and has made us all very proud with his many achievements as a wrestler,” Ranjan Gupta stated in an AP story. “It was the Punjab Polce that first nurtured and promoted The Great Khali as a bodybuilder and a wrestler.” The story notes that it is not known whether Khali will receive a raise from the 15,000 rupees ($375) he is paid each month.
