Big WWE News: RAW To Air Commercial Free On June 22!

PWInsider.com is reporting that the June 22 edition of Monday Night RAW
will air commercial free, the first time in it’s 16 year history. Commercial
free shows aren’t unusual in today’s television business as several TV shows
in the past made their debut commercial free in return of product placements
by particular advertisers. WWE does not get advertising money for RAW as USA
Network pays WWE a lump sum weekly to produce the shows while the cable
company pockets – and fights for – the ad money. The show will be airing
from Green Bay, WI., – the home of Mr. Kennedy – and the uninterrupted
broadcast will be designed just like a pay-per-view. A two hour commercial
free show usually contains 40 minutes of programming more.
