WWE.com announced on Saturday that World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Ricky Ortiz (Richard Young). Ricky Ortiz made his WWE debut as a member of the ECW roster on July 1, 2008 and remained undefeated on ECW until he was pinned by Jack Swagger on December 2, 2008. On April 15, 2009, Ortiz was drafted from ECW to SmackDown in the 2009 WWE Supplemental Draft. Ortiz made his SmackDown debut on May 15, losing to Jeff Hardy.

The 846th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you from the Pengrowth Saddledome in the historic hometown of the legendary Hart Family- Calgary, Alberta, Canada. WWE Hall of Famer and former WWE Champion Sgt. Slaughter would be in charge as the Guest Host of RAW.

Monday Night RAW
Good Week For: Triple H (convinced Shawn Michaels to reform DX)
Bad Week For: MVP (was laid out by both Chris Masters & Jack Swagger)

And In Other News…

The show kicked off with the WWE Champion, Randy Orton, who stated that he has been hearing "rumors" in the back that he is scared of facing John Cena for the title at SummerSlam and proclaimed that the rumors were false and he would defeat Cena at SummerSlam and keep the WWE Title. "The Viper" then turned his attention to last week’s Guest Host, Jeremy Piven. Orton stated that he bullied Jeremy Piven because "he can" and proclaimed that what the fans think of him does not mean a thing to him. Orton then takes a step up by saying that he "guarantees" victory against John Cena! A visibly angry John Cena interrupts "The Viper" and makes his way to the ring and gets in the face of the WWE Champion. The #1 Contender told the champion that he is tired of hearing Orton talk about how he can bully and defeat everyone that he crosses paths with. Cena then challenges the WWE Champion to "bully" him and asks Orton if he is going to "talk or act". As champion and challenger go face-to-face again, the Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & Chris Jericho interrupt the intense staredown. Big Show says that he finds it "amusing" that Orton & Cena are trying to intimidate each other, stating that they don’t know anything about intimidation like he does. The Canada-raised Chris Jericho basks in the warm Canada greeting he receives and proclaims that Canada is "his country". Jericho then reveals that he talked to the RAW Guest Host, Sgt. Slaughter, earlier and convinced "Sarge" to make a one-on-one match between himself and John Cena! Jericho then vowed to do something he has never done; defeat John Cena. Orton then threatens Cena by telling him that he will be there to punt Cena after Cena faces Jericho. "The Viper" then starts to exit the ring, but Big Show stops the WWE Champion and informs Orton that Big Show also asked for a match; a match against Randy Orton! With just two weeks to go before SummerSlam, can Randy Orton survive the wrath of "The World’s Largest Athlete" or will Big Show demolish the WWE Champion? Can Chris Jericho defeat long-time nemesis, John Cena, for the first time in his career or will the #1 Contender for the WWE Title defeat Jericho once again?

The opening match of the night was a 4-Way Match to determine the #1 Contender for the Diva’s Title. In a fiercely competitive contest, it was Canada resident Gail Kim who defeated Beth Phoenix, Kelly Kelly, & Alicia Fox to be the first Diva to challenge Mickie James for the Diva’s Title. When will we see these two Divas do battle over the Diva’s Title?

In the rubber match between the two of them, "The All-American American" Jack Swagger was able to repeat his success from last week by picking up the second win in a row over Evan Bourne. After the match, MVP came out and called Swagger an "idiot with a lisp". MVP then challenges Swagger to a one-on-one match, but Swagger responds with "maybe next week". This prompts "The Franchise Playa" to shove Jack Swagger on his "All-American" backside!

RAW also featured footage of Triple H’s "Search For Shawn Michaels" as Triple H searched for his longtime friend, Shawn Michaels, in order to reform D-Generation X to combat Legacy! Naturally, Triple H’s search would bring him to Michaels’ hometown of San Antonio, TX. "The Game" searched the cafeteria of an office building where "The Hearbreak Kid" told Triple H to meet him. Triple H eventually found his old friend working as a chef in the kitchen! Triple H walked in on an awkward scene between Shawn Michaels and a little girl wanting a hamburger. The little girl demanded to have her food right then and there and "HBK", frustrated, explained to the potential customer that he actually has to cook the hamburger thoroughly. Then, with a "hi, Hunter" to Triple H, Shawn Michaels went back to cooking.

RAW also laid host to a very unique type of match up; a "Contract-On-A-Pole Match". Two potential RAW Superstars would face off and whoever grabbed the RAW contract off of a pole attached to the ring post would become the newest member of the RAW roster! Former World Tag Team Champion, Eugene, looked to come back to RAW as he squared off with a mysterious newcomer known as "The Calgary Kid". The masked Calgary native was able to endure Eugene’s unique onslaught of moves to grab the contract and become the newest addition to Monday Night RAW! After the match was over, The Calgary Kid laid Eugene out with a forward leg sweep. The new RAW Superstar then removed his mask to reveal that The Calgary Kid was actually The Miz! One week after getting banned from Monday Night RAW by Jeremy Piven & John Cena, Miz entered himself into the Contract-On-A-Pole Match and was able to get the contract to rejoin the RAW roster! By hook or crook, Miz has made his way back onto the RAW roster, what’s next for the self-proclaimed "awesome" Superstar?

Then it was time for the WWE Champion Randy Orton to do battle with one-half of the Unified Tag Team Champions and "The World’s Largest Athlete", Big Show. Show dominated the match, but "The Viper" was able to escape any further beating from Big Show by escaping "The Destroyer" and taking a count-out victory in an act of self-preservation. Has Orton seen the last of "The World’s Largest Athlete"?

Back in San Antonio, Triple H is still trying to convince Shawn Michaels to come back to the WWE and reform DX. The former WWE Champion tells Triple H that he is a chef now and he gets "respect". The "respected chef" then gets a face full of tater tots courtesy of the demanding little girl. "The Game" tells his former tag team partner that Michaels "needs" DX. Michaels responds by telling Triple H that he is "good at what he does". Triple H then directs "HBK" towards a grill fire going on behind him, which the master chef puts out.

After challenging Jack Swagger to a match earlier on, "The Ballin’ Superstar" MVP was also in action, hanging the first loss on Chris Masters since "The Masterpiece" returned to RAW a couple of weeks ago. After the big win, MVP caught sight of Jack Swagger slowly approaching the ring. As MVP turned his attention to "The All-American American", Chris Masters took advantage of MVP’s diverted attention and locked in the Masterlock on MVP! With his big grin returning to his face, Jack Swagger antagonized MVP. Swagger then instructed Masters to release the hold, Swagger then laid out a prone MVP with the Swagger Bomb! After such an opportunistic attack, how will MVP respond to Swagger’s actions?

Back in Shawn Michaels’ hometown of San Antonio, Triple H is still doing his best to convince Michaels to come back to the WWE and reform DX, stating that Michaels "needs" the WWE and "needs" D-Generation X. During their conversation, Shawn Michaels’ manager confronts his chef and reads Michaels the riot act and calls Triple H an "idiot". Fed up with the whiny little girls and the deameaning management, Shawn Michaels snapped and delivered Sweet Chin Music to his overbearing boss! "The Showstopper" then tells Triple H that he’s "in", officially marking the reformation of D-Generation X! Before leaving, Michaels told Triple H that he has one more piece of business to attend to. "HBK" then approaches the angry little girl, who has turned her attention to a different cafeteria worker, and delivers Sweet Chin Music to the little girl! With his short nemesis and angry boss laid out on the floor, Shawn Michaels shouts his resignation with an "I quit" before leaving with Triple H! Now that Triple H has convinced Shawn Michaels to reform DX to combat Legacy, when will the trouble-making duo return to Monday Night RAW?

In a match requested by Chavo Guerrero, Mark Henry & Hornswoggle were set for tag team action against Chavo and a partner of Chavo’s choosing. However, Chavo came out in street clothes and claimed that he was still recovering from the injuries that he sustained at the hands of Mark Henry last week. Chavo then revealed that he found a "replacement team"- Legacy! At the end of the match, it was Ted DiBiase taking advantage of the smaller Hornswoggle and hitting Dream Street on the leprechaun to pick up the win for Legacy. After the match, Ted DiBiase spoke for Legacy by declaring that they are "ready" to face the newly reformed DX and challenged Triple H & Shawn Michaels to a match at SummerSlam! It was later revealed that DX readily accepted the challenge and it was made official; it will be D-Generation X taking on Legacy at SummerSlam! Can Legacy survive the legendary DX or will "The Game" and "The Heartbreak Kid" leave Legacy laying?

In a blockbuster announcement for next week’s RAW, the Guest Host for next week’s show will be big time actor and writer, Freddie Prinze, Jr.! What will the legend of teen comedies have in store for the RAW roster just six days before SummerSlam?

Then it was time for Chris Jericho to go one-on-one against John Cena in a match that Jericho requested. However, thanks to Randy Orton, nothing was proven in the match as "The Viper" interfered in the contest, leaving John Cena with an unwanted disqualification victory. With his partner in a vulnerable position, Big Show made his way to the ring and the Unified Tag Team Champions managed to lay out both champion and challenger in Randy Orton & John Cena! The Guest Host for the night, Sgt. Slaughter, then makes an appearance and announces a huge main event for next week’s RAW as it will be the WWE Champion Randy Orton, in his hometown of St. Louis, teaming with his #1 Contender for the WWE Title, John Cena as they take on the Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & Chris Jericho! After this big announcement, Orton & Cena actually worked as a team to rid the ring of the Unified Tag Team Champions by champion and challenger double-teaming Chris Jericho and actually sending Big Show over the top rope and out of the ring! On the final RAW before SummerSlam, can Orton & Cena keep this temporary partnership going next week? Can Cena trust "The Viper" long enough to defeat Big Show & Chris Jericho or will the Unified Tag Team Champions take advantage of the potentially unstable team?

The 166th episode of ECW on Syfy came to you from the Rexall Place in the second most populous  provincial capital in Canada- Edmonton, Alberta. ECW Champion Christian would be in his home country as he would be featured as a guest on The Abraham Washington Show.

ECW on Syfy
Good Week For: William Regal (found out he was the new #1 Contender and defeated Tommy Dreamer)
Bad Week For: Paul Burchill (lost to Yoshi Tatsu by disqualification and was attacked by The Hurricane)

And In Other News…

The opening match of the night was a direct result of what went down between Shelton Benjamin & Zack Ryder during last week’s edition of The Abraham Washington Show when "The Gold Standard" and "The Long Island Loudmouth" did battle. The end came when Shelton Benjamin hit Pay Dirt on Zack Ryder and picked up the win.

Backstage, Paul Burchill is being interviewed by ECW’s mild-mannered reporter, Gregory Helms. Helms tried to ask "The Ripper" about Burchill’s upcoming match with Yoshi Tatsu, but Burcill refused and asked Helms if Helms thought he was "stupid" and accused the interviewer of being the man behind the mask who has been saving everyone in the backstage area in recent weeks. Helms responded by saying that he "calls them like he sees them" and Burchill responded with a cheap shot to the reporter!

"The Soviet War Machine" Vladimir Kozlov was in action, picking up a one-sided victory over Kevin Brooks. After the match, Ezekiel Jackson once again came to the ring and laid Kozlov’s victim out with Total Domination. Kozlov responded by planting Kevin Brooks with the Iron Curtain. For weeks now, Kozlov & Ezekiel have been enthralled in a game of one-upsmanship, will the game continue or will these two dominant Superstars go one-on-one?

Following his attack on Gregory Helms, Paul Burchill squared off with "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshi Tatsu. During the match, with Tatsu in control of Burchill, Katie Lea Burchill attacked Tatsu with her leather belt! This attack cost Paul Burchill the match by disqualification, but "The Ripper" vicious assaulted Tatsu after the match had concluded. However, Yoshi Tatsu was fortunate enough to be saved by the green-clad masked marvel as The Hurricane made a triumphant return! There was no quick save and quick exit to the Hurrilair this time as The Hurricane took flight and took out Paul Burchill; sending "The Ripper" to the outside. The caped crusader then helped Yoshi Tatsu to his feet and shook hands with the fallen Superstar before raising Tatsu’s hand in victory. How will Paul Burchill react to the return of The Hurricane and what will be The Hurricane’s next deed of good will?

"The So-Cal Surfer" Tyler Reks also saw action on ECW, as the proud surfer picked up a dominant win over Tom James.

Then it was time for The Abraham Washington Show featuring the ECW Champion, Christian. The host of the show, Abraham Washington, welcomed the crowd to the show before introducing the ECW Champion, who received a thunderous reaction as a native Canadian Superstar. The host and guest had a seat and, in true Abe Washington form, the talk show host berated last week’s Extreme Rules Match between Christian & Tommy Dreamer. Washington then asked Christian if "Captain Charisma" was still friends with the "ECW Original" after last week’s championship bout. The champion assured Abraham that he and Dreamer were still friends and Abe replied by asking Christian if the ECW Champion "bribed" Tommy Dreamer with food. Christian responded by calling the show "lame" and getting in the face of A.W. and telling the host that, if he does not stop insulting Dreamer and himself, then Christian will make a point to knock Washington’s teeth out. Christian then proclaims that he is ready for his next challenge as ECW Champion and that he takes pride in being the face of ECW. Abraham responds by informing "Captain Charisma" that he has some "breaking news" before revealing that Christian has a new #1 Contender for his ECW Title- William Regal! The 2008 King of the Ring came out and told the champion to watch what he is about to do to Christian’s friend- Tommy Dreamer.

After going face-to-face with the ECW Champion, William Regal did battle with the former ECW Champion, Tommy Dreamer. Entering the match still sporting an arm injury from the Extreme Rules a week prior, Dreamer fought through the pain as long as he could, but the arm was Dreamer’s downfall as Regal attacked the arm and hit his signature running knee to the skull of the "ECW Original" to pick up the win. After the match, "The Bruising Brit" was determined to send a message to the ECW Champion by locking on Regal’s version of an STF, the Regal Stretch, onto Christian’s friend, wrenching the arm of Dreamer until Christian rushed to the aid of Dreamer, prompting the #1 Contender to exit the ring with the damage already done to Dreamer. When will we see Christian & William Regal clash for the ECW Championship? Who will come out the victor in this battle of veteran Superstars?

The 18th edition of WWE Superstars came to you from the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and from the Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The main event of the evening would be a Mixed Tag Match with United States Champion Kofi Kingston teaming up with the Diva’s Champion Mickie James to face the team of Carlito & Rosa Mendes. Just twenty-four hours before he goes one-on-one with CM Punk, John Morrison goes head-to-head with Calgary’s own David Hart Smith. After losing two matches to Sheamus, Goldust would look to lay the first loss on "The Celtic Warrior" as he faced Sheamus one more time.

WWE Superstars
Good Week For: Carlito (pinned the United States Champion in the Mixed Tag Match)
Bad Week For: Sheamus (got outmaneuvered and defeated by Goldust)

And In Other News…

The opening match of the night was from SmackDown and it featured "The Guru of Greatness" John Morrison squaring off with Hart Dynasty member and Calgary’s own, David Hart Smith. Even with the unusually positive crowd reaction, the second-generation Smith was defeated by the seemingly unstoppable John Morrison. How will "The Friday Night Delight" do on SmackDown when he goes one-on-one with the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, CM Punk? Will John Morrison defeat CM Punk for the third time or will the changed attitude of CM Punk assist "The Straightedge Superstar" in ending the winning streak of John Morrison?

Speaking of three match series, ECW hosted the third match between "The Bizarre One" Goldust and "The Celtic Warrior" Sheamus. After losing two times to the newcomer, the veteran Goldust was able to roll-up Sheamus to pick up the win and pin the first loss on Sheamus. How will "The Celtic Warrior" respond to the defeat?

Then it was time for the gold-laden main event from RAW as the United States Champion Kofi Kingston teamed up with the Diva’s Champion Mickie James to face off with former United States Champion Carlito and his partner, Rosa Mendes, in a Mixed Tag Match. In the end, it was Carlito who hit the Back Stabber off of the top rope on Kofi Kingston and pinned the United States Champion to pick up the win for himself and Rosa Mendes! With a pinfall victory over the United States Champion to his name, will Carlito continue to pursue Kofi Kingston and the United States Title?

WWE.com announced on Friday that World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Eugene (Nick Dinsmore). This is the second time that he has been released. This time around he had one match and it was on this past Monday’s RAW in a Contract-On-A-Pole Match against The Calgary Kid, who turned out to be The Miz. Eugene is a former World Tag Team Champion.

The 521st edition of WWE SmackDown came to you from the Rexall Place in the city on the North Saskatchewan River- Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Nine days before he challenges Jeff Hardy for the World Heavyweight Championship in a TLC Match, #1 Contender CM Punk would go one-on-one with a man he has not defeated since coming to SmackDown- John Morrison.

Friday Night SmackDown
Good Week For: The Hart Dynasty (defeated the World Heavyweight Champion in the main event)
Bad Week For: The Great Khali (goaded backstage and brutally assaulted by Kane)

And In Other News…

With nine days and counting until the "Biggest Event of the Summer", SummerSlam, the show kicked off with the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, CM Punk. The former champion proclaimed that "no one" is better than him at utilizing ladders; citing his back-to-back victories in the annual Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match and that what he did last week to Jeff Hardy proves that he can utilize chairs effectively, as well. "The Straightedge Superstar" says he has given up trying to educate the fans on the dangers of drugs and alcohol because the more he opposes Jeff Hardy the more that the Jeff Hardy faithful cheer for their hero. Punk calls the Jeff fans "slaves to Jeff Hardy’s propaganda" and vows to "end Jeff Hardy" at SummerSlam. Punk then reveals that he has been hearing rumors that Jeff Hardy will be unable to compete at SummerSlam! This brings out SmackDown General Manager, Theodore Long, who tells the #1 Contender that his actions last week were "deplorable" and that Jeff Hardy had assured him that Jeff would not only compete at SummerSlam, but that the World Heavyweight Champion would be on SmackDown! Punk responds by saying that Long is biased towards Jeff Hardy and that Jeff is Long’s "poster boy". This brings out the World Heavyweight Champion, himself, Jeff Hardy, who gingerly makes his way into the ring and delivers the quick message to his SummerSlam adversary that he will defend the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam! As Jeff slowly exits the ring, CM Punk smirks at his handy work from last week. Will Punk be smirking at SummerSlam when he faces Jeff Hardy in one of Jeff’s specialties- a TLC Match?

Backstage in his office, General Manager Theodore Long receives a phone call from WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon! The Chairman informs Teddy Long that he wants Jeff Hardy to compete in the main event in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against The Hart Dynasty! Despite Long’s objections to the match, Mr. McMahon made his decision and the match would take place. How can Jeff compete much less compete against two men in a Handicap Match?

The opening match of the night saw the #1 Contender to the Intercontinental Title at SummerSlam, Dolph Ziggler, in action against the man he pinned last week to earn the title opportunity- Finlay. In the middle of the match between these two, the burly Mike Knox made his way to ringside. When Knox started to close in on Finlay, "The Fighting Irishman" kicked Knox back and Knox responded by blasting Finlay in the leg with the shillelagh while the referee’s attention was elsewhere! Dolph took advantage and hit the Name Drop to defeat Finlay en route to SummerSlam. However, "Monstrous" Mike Knox was not done with Finlay after costing him the match because the ruthless Phoenix native assaulted the Irishman before taking him to the outside and delivering a sickening backbreaker onto the steel steps! What provoked this attack by the bearded menace? What kind of condition is Finlay in following the assault?

After kidnapping Ranjin Singh last week, Kane is shown in an undisclosed backstage location with Singh strapped to a chair. "The Big Red Monster" bullies the interpreter of The Great Khali and challenges Khali to "come see his handy work".

Then it was time for "The Straightedge Superstar" CM Punk to go one-on-one with "The Guru of Greatness" John Morrison. In the end, it was the newfound intensity and determination by CM Punk that allowed Punk to hit the GTS on Morrison and finally defeat John Morrison after losing two straight to "The Friday Night Delight". How will CM Punk’s opponent at SummerSlam, World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy, fare in a Handicap Match in the main event?

Backstage, Kane is still abusing a defenseless Ranjin Singh; knocking Khali’s confidante backwards onto the floor. "The Big Red Machine" then verbally abused Singh by asking the translator if Khali is a "freak". Singh responds by revealing that Khali is his brother! Kane informs The Great Khali that he is "losing patience" waiting for Khali’s arrival.

The Divas were in action as former Women’s Champion Melina defeated Layla in a one-on-one bout shortly after learning that reigning Women’s Champion Michelle McCool will return to SmackDown next week! With SummerSlam being held in her hometown of Los Angeles, will Melina be looking to face McCool for the gold a week from Sunday?

Speaking of SummerSlam and championships, Cryme Tyme member JTG was in action on SmackDown as he squared off with one-half of the Unified Tag Team Champions and "The World’s Largest Athlete" Big Show! During the match, the opportunistic Chris Jericho shoved Shad into the ring post, taking Shad out of the equation for the time being. Meanwhile, in the ring, Big Show completely dominated JTG, forcing one-half of the #1 Contenders to submit to the Colossal Clutch. After the match, as Big Show stepped over the top rope to exit the ring, Shad retaliated Jericho’s attack by knocking "The World’s Largest Athlete" off of the apron to the floor; enraging the large Unified Tag Team Champion! What will happen when these two teams wage war at SummerSlam for the Unified Tag Team Titles? Will Cryme Tyme deliver on their promise and become the new Unified Tag Team Champions or will the seemingly unstoppable duo of Chris Jericho & Big Show be too much for the duo to defeat?

Backstage, The Great Khali finally locates Ranjin Singh hanging upside down in the bowels of the Rexall Place. Khali helps his brother down from the predicament, but is blind-sided with a steel pipe to the back, courtesy of Kane! With evil intent, Kane brutally assaulted Khali and left "The Punjabi Nightmare" laying on the cold concrete. "The Big Red Monster" then warned Khali that he is not scared of Khali, but that Khali should be scared of him. What damage has been done to both Khali & Ranjin Singh at the hands of the psychotic "Big Red Machine" Kane? How will The Great Khali respond to the assault?

Then it was time for the main event as World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy was forced into a 2-on-1 Handicap Match by the WWE Chairman, Mr. McMahon. The weakened champion would face the task of taking on both Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith; The Hart Dynasty. "The Extreme Enigma" tried at every pass to mount some offense in the contest, but the amount of damage dealt out to him by CM Punk last week was too much for even Jeff Hardy to handle and The Hart Dynasty ended up hitting the Hart Attack on Jeff to pick up the win! After the match, it did not take long for CM Punk to make his way to the ring to pick up the scraps of Jeff Hardy as the #1 Contender pounded on the fallen champion. Luckily for a helpless Jeff Hardy, help arrived in the form of John Morrison! Morrison stopped the onslaught of Punk and did his best to fight off both members of The Hart Dynasty. However, amidst the brawl with The Hart Dynasty, John Morrison was blasted in the back with a steel chair by CM Punk! With Morrison out of the picture, CM Punk resumed the merciless assault on Jeff Hardy. Punk placed the neck of Jeff in the steel chair vice that he used last week and was ready to send Jeff into the ring post and "end Jeff Hardy" as he promised to do. However, an unexpected assist came from Jeff’s brother, Matt Hardy! Matt intervened on his brother’s behalf and assaulted Punk to prevent Punk from doing any further damage to the already injured Jeff Hardy. John Morrison rejoined the fray and, together, Matt Hardy & John Morrison successfully fend off The Hart Dynasty. Then, as Jeff Hardy stared, confused, at his older brother, Matt Hardy actually helped Jeff to his feet! Backstage, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon confronts General Manager Theodore Long in his office and asks Long what the GM has planned for next week’s show. Long reveals that a huge 6-Man Tag Match will main event next week’s show as The Hardys will reunite and team with John Morrison to take on the team of CM Punk & The Hart Dynasty! With just two days to go before SummerSlam, Jeff Hardy & CM Punk will be in the same ring in the same match for the last time before their TLC Match for the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam. What will go down between champion and challenger? What kind of condition will the World Heavyweight Champion be in next week and how will the match affect his well-being? What measures will CM Punk take to try and get the upper hand for SummerSlam?
