In accordance with WWE’s Wellness Program, effective Wednesday, September 2, Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio) is suspended for 30 days for a violation of the company’s policy.
(It is interesting to note that Rey Mysterio is the reigning Intercontinental Champion and a match on tonight’s edition of Superstars between Dolph Ziggler, Finlay, & Mike Knox to determine the #1 Contender for the title at Breaking Point. With this suspension, Rey will be unable to compete at the event. Expect the Intercontinental Title to be taken off of Mysterio very soon; it is highly likely that this title change will happen on next week’s SmackDown, which will be taped the day before Rey’s suspension starts.)
