As reported before, the NXT name has already been taken by a promotion in the United Kingdom which has been using the name since January 27. The promotion is based in Scotland and is affiliated with NWA-UK: Hammerlock. PJ Murphy, the owner of the Scottish Wrestling Alliance, who owns the NXT trademark name, announced on the SWA website that the company has come to an agreement with WWE to release the NXT trademark. Murphy said that WWE was "proactive" to come to a mutually agreeable conclusion for the trademark and the company was renaming NXT to SWA: Source.
